TMCH Test-SMDs expired...

Hello everyone, the test SMD-Files provided by the TMCH have expired yesterday (see below). Our unit testing infrastructure obviously fails on these tests currently, because it requires/assumes the SMD files to be valid. Are there updated test files available yet? Call for Presentations 4th vTechDay at ICANN 71 (The Hague) The ICANN Tech Working Group is again planning a technical workshop at the ICANN 71 meeting (The Hague) on Monday 2021-06-14. As the meeting will be virtual vTechDay will be conducted as Zoom Webinar/Meeting from 12:00 to 17:30 UTC. We shall try to accommodate the time zone of the presenters in setting the agenda. The TechDay workshop has been a part of ICANN meetings since 2006 and has provided a forum for both experienced and new people to meet, present and discuss technical topics related to registry and DNS work and security. We are specially interested in: 1. DNSSEC, in particular within the EUR Region and with regards to SHA-1 Transition 2. DNS Abuse Prevention and Mitigation Tools 3. Best security management practices, lines of defense, to protect the registry from bad actors, attacks or malware 4. gzipped error messages served as zone files

Some recent CZDS zone file downloads were missing all zone data. Specifically, the gzipped files were not empty, but their content was error messages, not zone file data. For example: $ gunzip < bayern.zone.gz ;; Couldn't verify signature: expected a TSIG or SIG(0) ; Transfer failed. ;; Couldn't verify signature: expected a TSIG or SIG(0) $ gunzip < jot.zone.gz ;; Couldn't create key icann-axfr: bad base64 encoding ; Transfer failed. ;; Couldn't create key icann-axfr: bad base64 encoding "Transfer failed" should be a dead giveaway that something went wrong. Can we please improve error handling on the portal side so that output of a "dig axfr" to make a snapshot for distribution is only ever packaged up as a .gz file for download by CZDS users if it at least has a valid SOA record in its first few lines? New RDAP conformance tool is now available

The RDAP conformance tool is a stand-alone, open source tool that can be used to verify if an RDAP server implementation is conformant with the specifications developed by the IETF and optionally, the gTLD RDAP profile. CZDS renewal limbo for xn--kput3i since 2021-08-25

My renewal request for access to xn--kput3i zone data has been unanswered (neither approved nor denied) since 2021-08-25. A complaint was filed a couple of weeks later, to no effect. Anyone else in the same boat? What can be done to get this moving forward? (I've long given up on getting initial approval for .discover and .citadel, requested soon three years ago on 2019-01-29). -- Viktor.
