ICANN IGO-INGO IRT: UDRP/UDRP Rules – Version 5 Drafts for Review ahead of IRT Meeting 25 February 2026

In advance of our meeting tomorrow, 25 February 2026 at 14:00-15:30 UTC, please see the Google Drive links below to the latest (Version 5) drafts of the UDRP and UDRP Rules. These drafts incorporate additions made following input received during ICANN84 and following January’s GNSO Council resolution. As well as a redline noting changes from V4, I have also created a redline of the current published UDRP documents to make clear the extent of all our proposed changes to date. While this took slightly longer than anticipated, we believe that we are very close to a final product. The goal, if possible, is to sign off on public comment for the updated UDRP during our meeting at ICANN85. With that in mind, we have arranged a longer meeting than usual tomorrow – 90 minutes – to allow for a thorough walkthrough of the latest drafts. As ever we welcome IRT input on these changes as soon as possible, before, during and after the next meeting. Please let me know if you have trouble accessing the documents. See you tomorrow! IMPORTANT: ICANN: Rescheduling of IGO-INGO Curative Rights IRT Call - Wednesday 18 February

Dear IRT, I’m writing to inform you that we need to reschedule this Wednesday’s call (18 February, 14:00 – 15:30 UTC). Following additional staff review of the draft UDRP updates, a little additional time is needed to finalize a small number of points before we reconvene. To ensure our discussion is as focused and productive as possible, we will move the meeting to the same time next week, Wednesday, 25 February at 14:00 – 15:30 UTC. Renate will send out an update invitation shortly – please disregard the current invite and update your calendars accordingly. I appreciate that this new date now falls during ICANN85 Prep Week and that schedules may be busy. Please let Renate or me know if you cannot attend all or part of the rescheduled meeting. Based on last week’s doodle poll, Wednesday remains the most convenient meeting time for most participants, but I will explore alternatives if this should not be the case next week. We are just putting the finishing touches to the latest draft of UDRP and UDRP Rules updates, which will be issued this week. I will supply more information on the updates when sending, but to facilitate rapid feedback in advance of ICANN85 we have created a doodle poll with three potential 90-minute slots next week. Please select the time(s) that you can attend for all or most of the meeting. Based on your responses, I will then confirm one meeting slot by the end of this week. If none of the times suit, I will propose additional options for the following week, beginning 23 February, and solicit written feedback in the meantime.
