As you (Olivier) know, I am a director in the Society for the Advancement of Science in Africa (SASA) and that takes considerable time. I am also involved in building two new institutes. With that work load I could not do justice to a leadership position in NPOC. Dear colleagues, I would like to nominate Emmanuel Vitus to join Secretariat as part of the NPOC EC. I have known him for over 3 years now and I believe he is best suited for this position, pending he accepts this nomination. See his profile bellow: Emmanuel Agbenonwossi is a Web Journalist and Internet Policy Researcher. Based in Accra (Ghana), Emmanuel is the head of communications of Paradigm Initiative, a pan-African non-governmental organisation working to advance digital rights and digital inclusion. Emmanuel is also the Executive Director of Afrotribune in Togo. Under his leadership Afrotribune has contributed to several Internet public policy and advocacy activities in Togo. The organisation led the drafting of Togo’s first Digital Rights and Freedom Bill in 2019. Emmanuel has started his career in Togo as a speech writer and communication officer at the office of the Prime Minister of Togo and later as editor of State-owned website republicofgtoftogo.com. He has been a freelance contributor to Radio France International, BBC (French desk) and the North Africa Post. Emmanuel is the convener of Togo Internet Governance Forum and contributed to several Internet governance research and contributions. He is an active member of Internet Society, ICANN, IGF Academy. He is Togo’s focal point of the African Union flagship project, PRIDA. Emmanuel is an alumnus of the University of Greenwich (UK), the Central University of Tunisia, the University of Malta, Stanford school of public policy (UK) and the Busan University of Foreign Studies (Korea.) He holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism, a postgraduate diploma in Cyber-Security, a bachelor degree in Finance and BSc (Hons) in Business Information Technology. He is currently a PhD candidate with the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington (USA) with a topic focus of information controls and Internet shutdowns in Africa. Elections and NPOC website

Dear all, I looked at NPOC website to see how current election information can be found there. I may not have looked carefully enough but I didn't find anything. The front page talks about ICANN67 in Cancún as if it were in the future, and when I click "read more" under it I get to a post about ICANN64. There is https://npoc.org/npoc-elections/ but it contains nothing useful. I can't find the current charter there either, only v2.0, which still hasn't been officially approved AFAIK. GNSO page about NPOC is also out of date: https://gnso.icann.org/en/about/stakeholders-constituencies/ncsg/npoc ... as is the icannwiki page: https://icannwiki.org/Not-for-Profit_Operational_Concerns_Constituency The (other!) wiki page that has actual information about current elections is all but impossible to find unless you know where it is, no link to it from NPOC home page nor from the above icannwiki page and even Google has hard time finding it. Kudos to Maryam for keeping it up to date though: https://community.icann.org/display/NPOCC/Elections+2020 It would be nice to have at least a link to that from NPOC homepage as well as from icannwiki. It would also otherwise make a good impression if the homepage was kept current rather than talking about past meetings as forthcoming. -- Tapani Tarvainen
