Re: [UA-EAI] EAI WG Meeting later today
Thanks, Ajay. We had a few minutes to discuss your topic, but not very much, sorry. For #1, I think this is a simplified version of Phase 1 EAI Readiness. But I also think it is the first time we mentioned Phase 1 EAI Readiness outside the context of an email service stack. So it’s an interesting new category and we should decide what to do with it. For #2, we didn’t have anyone on the call who felt they could volunteer, but I like the idea. Agreed. It's not clear to me what would be in full support that wouldn't also be needed for accepting and EAI mail address and using it to send EAI mail.

It's quite common to have separate systems these days. Mail from "the website", or from the database/backend/jobs, is sent using something like ActionMailer via Amazon SES, or Sendgrid, or one of those ESPs. Mail to/from customer service is received into Zendesk, perhaps via Gmail, Office365 or a mail serer, and replies from Zendesk go back out via... I think Zendesk uses Amazon SES? Caan't remember. Think of it what you will. Arnt
Arnt's example is what I was conceiving. I get a bunch of email addresses [STORE] and either perform the sending myself [PROCESS] or outsource it. Any replies and bounce-backs are managed by somebody else, or maybe not at all. Is it commonplace or interesting? I don't know. It does seem easier to implement, but only if it is useful to the website owner. -----Original Message----- From: UA-EAI <ua-eai-bounces@icann.org> On Behalf Of Arnt Gulbrandsen Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2019 2:36 PM To: ua-eai@icann.org Subject: Re: [UA-EAI] EAI WG Meeting later today On Tuesday 22 October 2019 22:20:13 CEST, John Levine wrote:

Thank you Abdalmonem. Let's create a short / brief document and than a website which does as required.. In case of help needed , let us know. As a final thing , we shall put this entire thing on GitHub , along with tech used , steps taken and link it with our UA site. Finally someone should be able to see and make his website UA ready. Would request EAI group / Tech group to work together to get this out , as we have our Ambassador as volunteer. Thanks.
