[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Domain name registration should not be moniterized
by Bradley Braun Feb. 12, 2020

Feb. 12, 2020
I have been a domain name registrant since the mid 1990's. And during in this time, aside from originally no fee, I've seen the cost for most of not all yearly registration drop. This has allowed me not only keep "sentimental" names but register additional names I would not have considered. With this said I venimently oppose the proposed price increase. In fact it is in my opinion that caps should be put in place. I base this opinion on the fact that administrative overhead does not warrant price increase. This has the appearance of a money grab. I would like for ICANN to rethink those position on the proposed increase. [Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by Bob Slaughter Feb. 12, 2020

I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Bob Slaughter Driftwood

I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Lacey Walker Burbank, California United States Lacey Walker

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] I oppose the proposed amendment No. 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by Shane McCook Feb. 12, 2020

Feb. 12, 2020
I oppose the proposed restoration of the pricing structure from the 2006 .COM Registry Agreement. The price for .COM Registry Services should remain static at $7.85 as it has since 2012. This is nothing but a cash grab for Verisign and does not serve the public interest. Shane McCook 1929 Par PL Sarasota, FL 34240 941-666-9065 shanemccook(a)gmail.com

Do not raise prices. Do not allow Verisign the continued monopoly. Please explain to me how this is justified and not done just out of greed. -- Best, Ben bixby.benjamin(a)gmail.com 517.420.5985

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Regarding the recent .COM changes
by Joshua Weller Feb. 12, 2020

Feb. 12, 2020
To whom it may concern, I recently found out about the .COM amendment, specifically the pricing changes planned for said domains. As both a customer that owns hundreds of .COM domains, as well as a whole-seller I highly disagree and oppose the proposed changes. It will unfairly penalize small business owners and those who hold large domain portfolios on behalf of their clients, some of which have domains for their personal hobbies. Furthermore, I will be forced to drop hundreds of domains which are considered "typo" domains, common misspellings of domains our clients use as the price increase would not justify owning them any longer. The current service/registration fees are more than enough. How can it be that other TLD's have cheaper fees and manage fine, why would the most recognized TLD in the world need a price increase in their fees after all of these years. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest, not for profit. Sincerely, Joshua Weller https://exhora.com

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] I do not support proposed Amendment 3
by Andy Whilden Feb. 12, 2020

Feb. 12, 2020
Hello, I am writing to express my position against proposed Amendment 3 to reverse the price cap on dot com domains. As a small business owner which holds two dot com domains, this will negatively affect my business and any future potential growth, with no benefits being returned from it. In the interest of the public and supporting small businesses, I urge you to not allow this change to occur. Thank you for your time reading this and considering public opinion. Have a good day. Sincerely, -- *Andy Whilden* Treeline Sound LLC

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by adoo Feb. 12, 2020

A more normal increase of 2-5% yearly for up to 10-15% will be more realistic for private registrants like myself. I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest.
