Dear ICANN and Verisign, I am a registrant with a domain name. I want to protest the proposed price hikes for domain names. I am a freelance writer who depends upon my website for publicity and sales. My income from royalties is modest. Your proposed hikes will adversely affect my career. Please reconsider these proposed hikes and keep rates affordable. Thank you for your attention. I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. As a very large Turkish Internet community with 164.000 members we will bring up this unfair agreement issue to Turk Telekom on Friday the 14th, which is the biggest Internet provider in Turkey and the Middle East! We will not let ICANN to do this kind of deals behind closed doors. I guess ICANN head team made a miss calculate about peoples IQ's and patience. This will only serve to hurt and discourage SMBs that cannot afford as much as larger corporations. It will cement large corporations with deep pockets in place, and make competition difficult for any small or medium-sized businesses. No to amendment 3.
