We strongly oppose the proposed amendment as it will unfairly penalize small business owners and those who hold large domain portfolios on behalf of their clients, some of which have domains for their personal hobbies. Should this amendment pass, we may be forced to drop the registrations of .com domains from our portfolio. You’re giving this much power to a company because you get a kickback. Bring this out into the open and look at how much you’re getting vs what they will make and tell us what you expect to do with the funds you raise from this. Let’s keep the internet as open and accessible to everyone as possible.

Please don't increase the price of registrations. It's hard enough to continue with renewals. There's so many other things to worry about, but why should we add this to the list? First the .org sell off and how this?

I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. As an owner of several .COM domains I am against the changes outlined in the Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement. These changes were agreed to without proper community support or agreement. It is not proper to saddle the owners of .COM domains with the extra cost so the ICANN can benefit with a $20 million payout. Thanks for listening Ryan McLaughlin

I am a registrant of multiple .com domain names. I am opposed to any increase in the registration price that exceeds the rate of inflation. The maximum price increase should be tied to inflation (currently around 2%) instead of 7% as currently proposed. Eric Dubois

I read the proposed changes and see nothing about preventing the practice of domain registrars “sniping” domains, such that if a consumer looks up a domain it may be listed for a reasonable low price - but once you refresh the search for the domain, or come back the next day, the domain searched for has been taken and is now for sale at an extremely high price. Capitalism is not what the internet was ever designed for. Despite the fact no end user knows what ICANN does, the tech savvy out here have great respect for yourselves. As a small business owner, and website application developer, significant increases to the .com TLD pricing will greatly affect my ability to compete with large corporations. Please do not go forward with these pricing changes, and in the future make sure that ALL of the community benefits from any changes. The proposed amendment is not in the best interest of the Internet community. Verisign will reap massive profits on something they arguably can no longer take any credit for. The .COM namespace should now be considered public property not to be held hostage by one registrar. If you are unable to enact a policy which fulfills that objective, at least do no harm. Leave things as they are until such an arrangement can be made. Kevin Wade
