Hi, I am Ca Nguyen, an owner of my personal website. I opposed the Amendment 3 because I don’t generate any direct income from my website. I can’t afford to pay more for my domain name. The price should stay as is so everyone can afford it and keep the internet open and provide equal opportunity for everyone. As of right now, my domain is secure and do just fine. I don’t need any update or better security. Thanks! Ca Nguyen

In the United States, price fixing can be prosecuted as a criminal federal offense under Section 1 of the Sherman Antitrust Act. ... The internet is and should be accessible to anyone around the world. By increasing fees, you are hurting the majority of people from around the world who don’t have wages as high as people in the USA. Dot COM websites are the go to websites that started the web. Not everyone is a corporation bringing in billions of dollars like Google and Amazon. You are only hurting the regular person who is trying to make their life on the web. What is the justification for the rate increases? Why is it limited to the .com domain? This seems like it's a money grab by Verisign for which you are obviously getting a kickback for. There's not justification for this and if it goes through, I'll simply start moving clients to other domain names. Thanks.

Disappointed that as a company you think it’s fair to increase prices every year. I think of this as another example of corporate greed. And how large corporations make it harder and harder every year for small business to thrive or even exist. Shame on you ICANN for this policy of greed.

I do not agree with your domain price increases. The internet and websites should be accessible for anyone on any budget. To increase prices means to block certain people and businesses from affording their domains. Don’t silence our voices just to make a profit. Thank you. Jacqueline

Increases in these products greatly affects the operating costs and raise concerns about the sustainability of small businesses.
