Dear Fred and Tomslin, As you both may be aware I have been appointed by the 2020 NomCom to serve a 3 year term on the Board of PTI (https://www.icann.org/news/announcement-2020-10-02-en) in line with the bylaws requirements of accepting this appointment I am required to resign my current community leadership positions including serving as the GNSO non-Registry Liaison to the CSC and thus also the CSC liaison to the IANA Functions Review Team In line with that requirement I have tendered my resignation to the CSC for both positions (CSC liason and IFRT liaison) effective Friday October 9th at 12:00 UTC. I hope that the CSC will appoint a new liaison to the IFRT to help with the rest of the work and wish you all the best in completing the work of the review team! Implementation of this requirement has long been recognized as being operationally impracticable, ever since the time of the NTIA contract, and the IFRT is satisfied that its continued inclusion in the bylaws adds no value to the reports. Because of this addition, the co-Chairs have decided to move the due date for dissents to this Friday, 2 October 2020. If you have any issues with the Report please email the co-Chairs or me by this Friday, otherwise it will be assumed you have approved the Initial Report. #2. There is NO plenary meeting tomorrow. Instead, at 17:00 Fred will be hosting the IFRT’s webinar concerning Recommendation 4. Here are tomorrow’s webinar details, if you would like to attend. (and the recording, etc., will be available on the IFRT wiki homepage shortly thereafter) Date: 29 September 2020 Time: 17:00 – 17:30 UTC Webinar Link: https://icann.zoom.us/j/96824197988?pwd=TGpISnFnck1TblpQdkthd0lHUzRxdz09 Passcode: IFRT_09/29 #3. Also, a reminder that there is no IFRT Plenary meeting on 29 Sept 2020; however your co-chairs will host a webinar for the community on that day, but at 17:00 UTC.
