RFP: Interdependencies or Lack Thereof Already Covered

Further careful reading revealed that what I was concerned about is already addressed by: " I. Description of Community’s Use of IANA ... • A description of any overlaps or interdependencies between your IANA requirements and the functions required by other customer communities " This gives sufficient opportunity for proposers to reflect and express their view of the world for now. This sentence somehow did not make it from the paper to my brain. So no new language is required at this point. Apologies for wasting everyone's time. Daniel

Consensus talking point slides

The slides are a bit more wordy than usual, but I think its important to use the actual language of our documents and not paraphrase... Sharing the Time Zone pain Re: Next call Sep 26, 12:00-13:00 UTC

I am completely with Keith on this one. I was tempted to ask that along with affiliations and nationalities we record 'usual time zone in UTC offset'. Mine is UTC+10. Keith's is UTC+12. And this upcoming meeting is a very achievable 10pm-12 for me. Can we please stagger the times to ensure we get Keith's input occasionally? Our current process (especially when the doodle poll is skewed to exlude hours that are not so appropriate in the Americas and Europe / Africa) is more imperfect. What do others think about sharing the burden of awkward times for future meetings? We have locked interpretation services for this event. * Friday, 17 October - Your face-to-face meeting has been confirmed for 09:00-17:30 PDT. We have locked interpretation services for this event. * Remote participation and meeting room location details will be sent to you as soon as finalized. Supported travelers must book their air travel with ICANN's authorized travel agent, where the cost will be billed directly to ICANN. Hotel rooms and tax for a specified meeting will be arranged and paid for directly by ICANN in accordance with the authorized arrival and departure dates (15-18 October 2014) for each supported traveler. ICANN will only book and pay for a non-refundable, lowest logical price airfare, and economy airfare. Reimbursement will be permitted for meeting attendance and other reasonable incidental expenses incurred. This will have to be aligned to ICANN procurement policy. Dear all, Attached is a revised version of the document. I have tried to incorporate and consolidate all the comments. I have left out some of the specific references made to tasks/activities in coordination with ICANN staff at this stage as I think we still need to clarifier that aspect and until then we should leave that out of this document. When appointed if we want something to be done with ICANN dedicated supporting staff we will instruct them accordingly. Narelle I have also added in the neutrality and independence aspect in the first paragraph of the requirements. PAF, some of your comments are covered by Paul’s so I did not repeat them.
