Dear colleagues, It will take us at least one more meeting to get to the end of the Latin part of MSR2 document (See https://community.icann.org/display/croscomlgrprocedure/24+November+2015.) After that we need to turn our attention to the Panel-formation proposal for which the deadline is the ICANN meeting in Marrakech. I attach an initial attempt at breaking the proposal down into small chunks. It's based on the Arabic one and may need further adjustments. I hope it makes the work easier. Work has already been started on at least two chunks: 1. The timeline (me) (3.1) 2. The list of languages (Mirjana) (Appendix A) I would welcome improvements to this document and written contributions on any other chunk (please email me if you are interested in contributing to any section(s)). Dear colleagues, it think it would be useful to have a shared folder for such files, e.g. using onedrive or dropbox and version such files. Best wishes, Meikal 2015-11-26 12:59 GMT+01:00 Dillon, Chris <c.dillon@ucl.ac.uk>:

Dear colleagues, Personally I’m happy to work with any technology, although I have had recent problems with Outlook 2016 and OneDrive. I was just about to suggest that we draft the proposal in Confluence, as it tracks changes by multiple editors nicely. As regards versioning, let us append e.g. v6CJD to file names, v6.2 for a minor update. Dear Nhàn, Thank you for telling me. That may be because you don’t have Lucida Sans Unicode on your machine. I have created a PDF version of the file and put it on https://community.icann.org/display/croscomlgrprocedure/24+November+2015 You should be able to read that as PDF is a sort of image format. If we use Confluence, whether the file is viewable, will depend on whether a large Unicode font is available to the browser, but the proposal will not be so dependent on a large Unicode font as the file is. Incidentally, you will also find a recording of the meeting on the same page. Dear Chris, Thank you very much. The characters are shown clearly. For Vietnamese, you might want to add 5 Unicode Combining Marks. In many ethnic Vietnamese scripts, breve is also used as a combining mark. BTW, my computer usually turn other fonts with Unicode Vietnamese into the default Arial and Times New Roman Best, Nhan

Dear Nhàn, Thank you for your emails. I would be interested in further information about both of your suggestions. Are combining marks needed for any letters not listed in the PDF? Which languages use breves? Incidentally, the Romanization used in North Korea (which used to be used in the South too) uses u breve and, more importantly, o breve. Dear Mirjana, On behalf of the working group, may I thank you for this Herculean effort. It will form the basis of Appendix A in the panel-formation proposal being built at https://community.icann.org/display/croscomlgrprocedure/Draft+Panel+Formatio... and will inform several other areas of the proposal.
