Hi Fred, I checked with the meetings team and shared the feedback. The advice is to still check the meeting schedule on a daily basis. Zoom links for all sessions will only be published a maximum of 24 hours in advance to reduce the risk of Zoombombing. They added that they were working with the vendor to offer “automatic update” feature but they did not expect this to be implemented before the second half of 2021. Having said that, if you would like to download ics files on your calendar you do not have to download them separately for each session. You may go to https://68.schedule.icann.org/, go to Full Agenda, add preferred sessions to your agenda for the day by hitting the plus sign on top right of each session and then go to “Export My Agenda” to export all ics files to your calendar. This way you can export all ics files for the day at once. I hope this is helpful. I have to download, and then update, a bunch of ICS files, which are potentially outdated the instant I do so. Could you ask whoever manages the calendar to provide a way that I can *subscribe* and have them updated automatically as frequently as they change, or to explain to me why they can't provide that?

DINR 2020 workshop on July 22 for advancing DNS research

I'm sending this for Wes. We would like to invite you to our upcoming virtual workshop on "DNS and Internet Naming Research Directions" (DINR). We will be holding a DINR 2020 virtually over Zoom on 2020-07-22 from 14:00 to 20:00 UTC (that's 7am to 1pm PDT on the US west coast). If you're interested in DNS-related topics, infrastructure, and have early work to share, or you want to hear about other's work in those areas, we'd love to have you join us. The principle discussion will focus on DNS and Internet naming, particularly open problems, preliminary work, and tools that help both. We're hoping for a very interactive day of discussion and short talks. We are soliciting short (1 page text + 1 page references) abstracts for people who are interested in presenting. Abstracts are due soon (June 25), but it's only a short abstract (limit of 1 page). Co-chairs are John Heidemann and Wes Hardaker (both at USC/ISI). Curious difference in glue TTL for root servers

There's a difference in the TTL of glue records returned in a priming query from different root servers. There's nothing wrong with a nameserver lowering the TTL in a response [RFC2181], but it's an observable difference in behavior. Perhaps some DNS implementation is clamping the glue to TTLs of the NS records. Both TTLs are observed on multiple root server letters respectively.
