I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. The internet is the property of everyone, we should be aware of what’s going on with price hikes, the usages. Already that .com are shit show to begin with , with all the squatting and empty undeveloped domains. No ruling, no order. Increasing prices arbitrarily will back fire. Hi ICANN, The following is a comment regarding your proposal to increase .com domain prices for the next 8 out of 10 years: As an owner of two .com domains, it is frustrating to see domain prices potentially rise over 70% the current price tags. Many users use these domains for their website to express their thoughts and talents, or run their dream business. As costs rise, it constantly becomes more difficult for users to turn a profit. This comment is designed to demonstrate the confusion and frustration users possess over the rise of domain prices. Please consider keeping these prices down at a reasonable level for us all to enjoy. Thank you.

Hey Please don't increase prices it will highly effect the tech lovers from developing world. Where US $ is already very expensive. Please also consider people from poor countries as well. You should charge high the very big companies rather than single pricing for all.

Dear ICANN, I just read about your proposed price increases for .com domain names. As a sole proprietor of an ecommerce website, I oppose the proposed changes which could increase the prices by as much as 70% over the next decade. If I only owned 1 domain name I could absorb the increase, but I own dozens, many that have been set aside for future use. This will have an adverse affect on my business. I ask you to reconsider your decision. Without transparency of justification for the increase, this comes across as greed. Just because you CANN doesn’t mean your should. Michael Kern Oceanside, CA

To whom it may concern, I heard that your company is planning to increase the “.COM” domain by 70% over the next a couple of years (decade). I would appreciate that you wouldn’t increase the price because I’m using the “.COM” to help my support my family. I know that I’m not the only one using “.COM” to support a family, and that could really hurt us and our families. I understand that you have to increase the price to stay afloat in this industry, but remember us little guys depend on this also.
