[Call for Volunteers] Final Proceeding for Proposed Language for the Draft Next Round Applicant Guidebook (AGB) Public Comment

Dear CPWG Members, On behalf of the CPWG co-chairs, we are seeking At-Large Community volunteers to consider the Final Proceeding for Proposed Language for the Draft Next Round Applicant Guidebook (AGB)<https://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/proceeding/final-proceeding-for-pro…> recently posted for public comment by ICANN org. ICANN will host a webinar<https://www.icann.org/en/announcements/details/icann-webinar-will-introduce…> on 3 June 2025 to provide a high-level overview of the AGB and will also brief community groups who requested sessions at ICANN83. This public comment consists of 16 questions in a guided submission form that ask whether the proposed language in each module or appendix – listed below – is consistent with ICANN Board approved SubPro recommendations. Please let us know if you are interested in reviewing a particular topic, module, or appendix. Attached are copies of the Draft AGB and Final Proceeding Guided Submission Form for your review. Hi, At the last meeting, we spoke about taking 15 minutes, at least, to discuss a hot topic of the meeting's choosing, at the ICANN 83 Policy meeting. The idea was to present a table with ideas at the start of the meeting, take a poll, and see what we ended up discussing. The table can be found in https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1iGNs5X0LVb6im_4wVcD_f510AOtPxCG6kAg… As you will see there are a few empty squares. Discussion poll for ICAN83 - any ideas for the empty square? - any ideas for narrowing down any of the ones there. - any of the topics a bad idea and should be removed? At the start of the meeting in Prague I will ask for a poll to be taken and we will try to discuss the idea most want to discuss. Hi, Online attended the RIPE BOF that i think Mike recommended to us. Authoritative Name Server BCPs [1] Anand Buddhdev (RIPE NCC), Doris Hauser (nic.at), Lars Johan Liman (Netnod), Shane Kerr (NS1 - IBM), Moritz Müller (SIDN) Where: Main room https://ripe90.ripe.net/archives/video/1677/ (do not think it requires login) https://ripe90.ripe.net/presentations/134-RIPE90-BoF_NS_BCP.pdf The content was interesting, with a panel that knew a lot about their authoritative servers and beyond. They covered a lot of area. I recommend anyone interested in this topic (we probably all should be, at least a little) should consider investing the time and attention. A quick question for those who view the session or already saw it: Is AL a target audience for the BCP document discussed at the end? I also recommend it for its format. While the moderator started with a std question for each of the panelist on the nature of their server. Good question. detailed answers. For the second questions they presented a matrix and let the participants select the next topic. I have seen the method used before and always thought it clever. The innovation of making it the second question struck me as brilliant. Though one better have a very expert panel. You will recognize some of the characters at the microphone. I am sure. Note on prejudices: I really love RIPE and their way of living their m14r model. Wish I still lived and worked in that neighborhood.
