In the Council Accuracy Small Team’s Summary Report <https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/policy/2025/draft/gnso-council-a…>, recommendation 3 provides, “The Council Accuracy Small Team recommends the creation of clear and user-friendly educational materials 3 that could be provided before, during, and after domain name registration to assist registrants in understanding (i) the importance of providing and maintaining accurate registration data through the lifecycle of their domain name(s), (ii) how their personal data is processed and protected, and (iii) the consequences of providing inaccurate data or not verifying email/phone under the required timeline. The Small Team does not prescribe how these materials are created, but recommends assembling a diverse and representative group of interested stakeholders to work together on developing the recommended content for the materials.” We wanted to let you know that at the request of the Registrar Stakeholder Group, ICANN org has been working on a one-page document to highlight the importance of maintaining accurate registration data for registrants that registrars, registrants, and the community can reference. Dear All, Please note that the deadline to apply to the Standing Predictability Implementation Review Team (SPIRT) that will provide input on issues that may arise in the New gTLDs Program: Next Round following the adoption of the Applicant Guidebook is 17 October 2025. Scope of Work In coordination with the GNSO Council, the SPIRT will collaborate with ICANN org to address all non-minor changes during the program using the Predictability Framework<https://itp.cdn.icann.org/en/files/policy-development/new-gtld-program-next…>. Details of its work are outlined in both the SPIRT Charter and the Predictability Framework. Work Plan The SPIRT is expected to meet on an as-needed basis with a rotating 60-minute meeting time established once convened. Tentative key dates are as follows: * 17 October 2025: Volunteer application deadline * 24 October 2025: Leadership application deadline * 10–14 November 2025: Work commences Who Should Join All interested community members (e.g., Supporting Organizations, Advisory Committees, GNSO's Stakeholder Groups and Constituencies) are invited to volunteer. SPIRT members are expected to act in the best interest of the program and propose constructive solutions to the issues that may arise. Volunteers should consider the membership criteria outlined in the Working Group Member Skills Guide<https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/file/field-file-attach/pdp-3-3-w…>. At least half of the inaugural members will serve three-year terms.
