Folks, On Wednesday’s call, I hope to circulate the link to a survey, for everyone to spread to the community, regarding Geo Names scenarios. In an effort to get past the rhetoric and down to brass tacks, as we say, we’re looking at “outcomes” that we may or may not like. If we we are able to identify the outcomes we won’t and don’t want, we can set about crafting policy recommendations, if not for subproc than at least the board, that would most likely lead to those outcomes. Hope that makes sense. Remember the questions we will aks about each scenario are: 1. Do you believe this scenario to be likely, given the status quo? 2. How satisfied would you be with this scenario? So, if you have suggestions or additional scenarios, let thos questions guide the structure. In other words, don’t just set up the conflict of interests but how it turns out. Also, if YOU think a particular scenario is duplicative or unlikely than let me know that as well. Thanks! Dear all, Reference is made to an earlier email with subject "Draft Issues List for Subsequent Procedures". I have attempted to generate a *snapshot of where the Subsequent Procedures PDP WG is at in its deliberations on the Applicant Support Program as at 26 Jul 2019 <https://community.icann.org/download/attachments/111390697/01.%20SubPro%20A…>*, post its last WG call on 25 Jul 15:00 UTC. Please note that that this snapshot is not intended to reflect a complete picture as deliberations on the same topic will continue on the next SubPro PDP WG Call of 29 Jul 20:00 UTC. At-Large members on the SubPro PDP WG are encouraged to attend the SubPro PDP WG call of 29 Jul 20:00 UTC, to help support the ALAC/At-Large inputs on the Applicant Support Program and/or help flesh out more concrete recommendations for the Program, seeing that this is one of the topics for which At-Large has helped to drive in respect of the new gTLD application round of 2012 and has continued to provide substantial input. After the said SubPro PDP WG call, I will attempt to present an updated snapshot at the next CPWG call. Dear all, Reference is made to comments noted at the earlier CPWG call on the usefulness of these snapshots and to the *CPWG SubPro Updates workspace <https://community.icann.org/x/6a_jBg>*. Here is a *snapshot of where the Subsequent Procedures PDP WG is at in its deliberations on the topic of Global Public Interest as at 31 Jul 2019* <https://community.icann.org/download/attachments/111390697/01.%20SubPro%20G…> . While SubPro WG deliberations on this topic had concluded earlier in July, At-Large members may well find that the relevant CCT-RT recommendations may not have been adequately or satisfactorily addressed by the SubPro WG at this point. That is a question I leave for determination by CPWG, and if so done in the affirmative, then consideration for what At-Large should continue to press on, how and with whom might be warranted.
