Hi All, Below is a tentative timeline to complete the work of the Reconvened WG. Given the work remaining to ready the report & definitive list for public comment, a 30-40 day public comment period, ICANN62, and review of comments to Final Report, it is not likely we will be able to meet the 9 July 2018 Documents & Motions deadline to submit the report to the GNSO Council. Therefore, the following timeline is proposed: 23,24, or 25 May Next meeting of the Reconvened WG (possible start of consensus call) 31 May Reconvened WG meeting if required 04 June Start of Public Comment Period 23-28 June ICANN62 04 July Close of Comment Period (30 days per Council resolution) 05 July Reconvened WG meeting to review comments and prepare Final Report 12 July Reconvened WG meeting to review comments and prepare Final Report 14 July Close of Comment Period (40 days per standard) 19 July Reconvened WG meeting to review comments and prepare Final Report 26 July Reconvened WG meeting to review comments and prepare Final Report 06 August GNSO Council's Documents and Motion deadline / Send Final Report 16 August GNSO Council meeting You will notice there's a bit of slack in the initial timeline should we not be able to start the consensus call after we review the draft recommendations at next week's meeting. Given current agreements among the Reconvened WG, it is doubtful we will need the four meetings to review the comments and prepare the final report. As stated, it's the 9 July deadline that makes this a tight schedule, but not impossible to meet. However, given current workloads and decisions about a 30 or 40 day public comment period, and not know the amount of comments received make it risky to achieve. Of course, this proposed timeline is up for discussion on the list and at our next meeting. We welcome thoughts and input from WG members. Thank you. B Berry A. Hi All, After further review with the Chair, we will not have quorum this week and next to adequately cover the remaining items for the definitive list and the draft Initial Report. Therefore, our next meeting will occur on 7 June at 14 UTC. It will be scheduled for two hours. Please block your calendars now, but you should see a calendar invite in the next day. Per a prior email on a draft timeline, we have some slack to still make the August GNSO Council Motions and Documents deadline. But, this will mean that we need to aggressively deliberate any remaining issues, ready the Initial Report for consensus call, and conduct the public comment period (launched just before ICANN62). Hi Thomas and All, We've encountered an issue in scheduling next week's call. The Doodle poll, only completed by eight, does not yield a time that can be accommodative to all. The two best times, are 19 UTC on the 23rd or 24th. Both can be made by our Chair, but exclude several of our more active participants. Definitive List and Variant Index

Hi All, Please find attached two documents as a result of last week's meeting. The first is an updated spreadsheet that will eventually become the final definitive list of identifiers to be reserved. Here are the following changes from the version Stephane sent on 30 April: . It now has a legend describing the tabs within the spreadsheet. Items for further explanation can be added here as necessary. . I made copies of the 30 April list to create a 2nd version as to maintain version control: o Tabs colored in black are prior versions, V1 o V2 in the tab labels are the most recent . The spreadsheet now contains a change log to help understand changes across the versions. The second attachment is a word document that contains the next version of the Variant Index. This draft incorporates use of terms that were not identified in prior versions and makes a use connection with that of descriptive work, national society, and "Red Cross" or "Red Crescent". The document also contains concepts discussed from the last call for the WG to consider such as error correction, additions, and deletions. Lastly, it also includes issues for the WG to decide in getting to the final definitive list. Most of this document will be imported into the WG's Final Report. Mary and I are still working on the draft Initial Report and we hope to have it out for your review in the next few days. At this point the framework of the proposed draft recommendations remain the same. In the meantime, you can reference the draft document I sent prior to our call last week to understand the general path of the recommendations. In short the recommendations follow: 1. Confirmation of the GNSO amendment to reserve the names and provide an exception procedure (will also document the legal basis as to why). 2. Recommends that future additions follow the Variant Index and confirms the process how that is done via existing policy. Lastly, it looks as though our meeting next week may change from our normal day and time. A time that fits all does not look possible. Please be sure to complete the doodle poll if you have not done so already (https://doodle.com/poll/drb3m7y3na6uuva2 ). You can expect to see an invite out tomorrow and it will be for 90 minutes.
