Dear WG members, Please find attached a document that staff has compiled of P/P provider responses to the 5 questions posed by the WG chairs to the group after the call last week, as follows: 1. What are provider practices regarding customer notification when a disclosure request is received, and is the customer given the opportunity to respond? 2. Does any provider offer its customer an option other than disclosure or publication, e.g. an opportunity to cancel the registration instead (i.e. what some WG members have mentioned as a ³takedown²)? 3. What are provider ³standards" for determining disclosure to third parties? 4. Can providers give the WG some general information about the percentage of requests for disclosure that are successful? 5. For Q4, do providers also have information about the type of claims those relate to e.g. If they are from LEA, 3P IP claim etc.? Please let me know if I have mischaracterized or omitted any response that you may have sent (for which I offer my apologies!). If you have not yet provided a response and are in a position to do so, or if you¹d like to add to a response you¹d provided previously, please send it along and I¹ll make sure it gets added to this document. Finally, please note that certain actual provider terms of service obtained from a sample of providers had previously been compiled as part of the draft template for this Category F, so that may also be helpful these are available on the WG wiki here: https://community.icann.org/x/QwbxAg. And here is the updated report revised according to the WG call last Tuesday, up to where we stopped (end of agreed preliminary recommendation #17 under Section 1.3.1, with de-accreditation being the last substantive topic for this sub-category; following that, Section 1.3.2 summarizes those categories/questions/points on where there is not yet agreement, and Section 1.3.3 the point on which the WG has a majority and a minority view). One of the few things that I said. :) I've had some medical things going on that kept me off the weekly sessions and interfered at times with keeping up in general. Thanks very much to Graeme, Steve, Mary, and Marika for keeping the project on course. I really appreciate what you did over the last month. I said a few words today and then lurked while Steve led the call. I hope to talk to you for more than three minutes next week. Don

Updated draft Initial Report - please send comments/suggestions to this list ahead of the next call

Dear WG members, Please find attached an updated version of the draft Initial Report that was first circulated on 19 December 2014. This update reflects the discussion and agreement reached during the last WG call on 6 January 2015, when the WG reviewed Section 1.3.1 of the draft report (stopping at Recommendation 12, i.e. just before Relay.) While staff has noted the need to ensure that any changes to these summarized recommendations are also reflected in the more detailed exposition of the actual recommendations in Section 7 of the report, we have yet to do so pending the WG¹s completion of its review of the report. Also attached is the template that the WG used in its deliberations on Category D Question 2, in relation to contactability and responsiveness of P/P service providers. James had asked that this be circulated again, to assist the WG to review what is currently summarized as Recommendation 8 in Section 1.3.1 of the draft report. The WG Work Plan has been updated to reflect the WG¹s intention to finalize all its recommendations including for Category F (Reveal) - by ICANN52 in Singapore in February, where it will present its recommendations to the community. The finalized Initial Report will then be published for public comment following the end of the Singapore meeting. Please continue to review the draft Initial Report, and send your comments or questions to this list ahead of the next call (scheduled for next Tuesday, 20 January), as Kathy has done previously with her suggestions for changes to the Executive Sumary.
