ICANN has published the Proposed for Adoption FY23 plans

Dear ICANN Community: ICANN has published<https://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/proceeding/draft-fy23-27-operating-…> the Proposed for Adoption FY23 plans on the public comment page. Publishing the plans is an important step in ensuring transparency by showing how the comments received through the Public Comment process were addressed. These versions have taken into consideration the comments, and where appropriate and feasible, have incorporated them into the plans. There were, however, no significant changes to the draft FY23 plans posted in December. The Proposed for Adoption highlights document<https://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/proceeding/draft-fy23-27-operating-…>, which includes a summary of changes from the draft FY23 plans. Additionally, please see the summary report<https://itp.cdn.icann.org/en/files/budget-plan-operating-plan-and-strategy-…> on the Public Comments published in March. The Board is expected to consider the Proposed for Adoption ICANN FY23–27 Operating and Financial Plan and the Proposed for Adoption ICANN FY23 Operating Plan and Budget during a Board meeting at the end of May. Under ICANN's Bylaws<https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/governance/bylaws-en>, following the Board’s adoption of these plans, the Empowered Community may consider whether to reject the plans as adopted. As long as there is no Empowered Community rejection process pending, the plans will take effect on 1 July 2022. Thank you for your input and participation in the FY23 ICANN Planning Process. ICANN Publishes U.S. Tax Returns for Fiscal Year Ending 30 June 2021

Dear ICANN Community, On April 28th , ICANN and its affiliate Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) published several returns required by the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS), California Franchise Tax Board, and California Attorney General's office for nonprofit organizations for the fiscal year ending 30 June 2021. IRS Form 990 the U.S. tax form that nonprofit organizations exempt from income taxes are required to file, was filed for ICANN and its affiliate pursuant to section 501(c) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. The California CA-199 and CA RRF-1 returns, which nonprofit organizations are required to file, were filed for ICANN and its affiliate with the appropriate government offices, including the California Franchise Tax Board and the California Attorney General's office.
