Hello everyone, This note is to confirm that the following Decisional Participants have provided notification of their respective representatives to the Empowered Community Administration: ALAC – Alan Greenberg (till AGM (ICANN63), October 2018) GAC – Manal Ismail (till further notice) ccNSO – Stephen Deerhake (till ICANN61, March 2018) GNSO – Heather Forrest (till further notice) Staff colleagues supporting the ASO have been requested to follow up with ASO leadership in relation to appointment of an ASO representative. We will also make sure to subscribe Manal and Heather to this list, as well as post the various notifications to the relevant ICANN web pages. In accordance with previous advice that the GAC has decided that the GAC Chair will serve as the GAC’s representative on the Empowered Community Administration until further notice, and in light of the election of Manal Ismail as GAC Chair with effect from the end of the ICANN 60 Abu Dhabi meeting, please be informed that Manal Ismail is now the GAC’s representative. Can I ask relevant support staff to kindly amend the relevant web page; add Manal to the EC Admin list; and remove Thomas Schneider from that list. In 2018, Paul Wilson will become the Chair of the Number Resource Organization, and under our present interim Empowered Community procedures would become the ASO representative to the Empowered Community Administration for 2018. We are in midst of reviewing these interim procedures and incorporating feedback received from their use and community discussions, and it is possible that they may change between now and year-end. In any case, we will keep ICANN informed of our chosen representative to the Empowered Community Administration via timely notification of any changes. Dear All, In accordance with the Guideline: Appointment of the ccNSO Representative on the Empowered Community Administration*, at its meeting in Abu Dhabi on 1 November 2017, the ccNSO Council re-appointed Stephen Deerhake as the ccNSO representative to the Empowered Community Administration for a term concluding at the end of the ICANN61 meeting, at which time the ccNSO Council will appoint a representative for one year.
