In accordance with previous advice that the GAC has decided that the GAC Chair will serve as the GAC’s representative on the Empowered Community Administration until further notice, and in light of the election of Manal Ismail as GAC Chair with effect from the end of the ICANN 60 Abu Dhabi meeting, please be informed that Manal Ismail is now the GAC’s representative. Can I ask relevant support staff to kindly amend the relevant web page; add Manal to the EC Admin list; and remove Thomas Schneider from that list. Dear members of the Empowered Community Administration, Please be informed that the Nominating Committee (NomCom) is preparing to finalize its selections to the ICANN Board of Directors, for the terms commencing at the end of ICANN60. Under the ICANN Bylaws, the NomCom is obliged to provide you, as the Empowered Community Administration, with notice of these appointments; following which you are required to notify the ICANN Secretary (with copy to all five Decisional Participants) of the appointments. Staff notes that you have sent previously similar notifications with respect to the ccNSO and GNSO appointments of new Board members. Unless you have objections, we suggest using the same form for the NomCom notifications. Here is a copy of those recent notifications: https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/bm/secretarys-notice-redacted-23may17…. Greetings, Pleased see the attached correspondence from the Empowered Community Administration certifying the decisions made by each Decisional Participant regarding the Fundamental Bylaw change proposed by the ICANN Board of Directors in their Board resolution 2017.05.18.04 - 2017.05.18.07. I am pleased to report that all five Decisional Participants, through their internal procedures, reached a decision regarding the matter before them, and further, that all five Decisional Participants approved the proposed Bylaw change.
