Dear WG members, We hope that those of you who were able to attend the ICANN meeting in person in Los Angeles enjoyed safe and pleasant journeys home, and that everyone has had a chance to recover from the intensity of the meetings! Here is the proposed agenda for our next WG meeting on Tuesday 28 October, as well as related documentation for your review prior to the meeting: 1. Roll Call/Updates to SOI 2. Review updated Work Plan (see attached document) 3. Recap/review of the WG F2F facilitated session on 10 October (recordings and transcripts posted to the WG wiki at https://community.icann.org/x/AiHxAg) 4. Continue deliberations on draft language from the 10 October session (see attached document) 5. Continue deliberations on Disclosure and Category F (see attached markup comparing the proposal from Steve Metalitz/IPC members with amendments proposed by Volker Greimann) 6. Next steps For your convenience, also attached is a Tabular Comparison document summarizing where WG discussions stand, by comparing the current situation with unaccredited providers to what might change if the WG¹s various preliminary conclusions are adopted. Outreach

Hello, The chairs group met this morning while sparing the rest of you. We will send more about we talked about and thoughts about how we'll move from here later in the week after some drafting. In the meantime, some WG members have suggested SME style briefings from the law enforcement community and data protection authorities, and it's time to schedule them. The idea is for individuals or groups to look at what we have produced and comment based on their perspectives. General discussions of p/p won't be neary has helpful. We have a good set of contacts in LE because it has a presence at ICANN and Dick Leaming from Interpol told me a few times in LA that he will join. Suggestions still are welcome for because the ICANN regulars are self-selected, and partly on the basis of who can afford to come. That's not necessarily the best way to get a cross section of the community. On the other hand, we are starting almost from zero on DPA. I have a friend and long ago FTC colleague who works on privacy and security matters at the OECD as a possible starting point but we need more thoughts. Thanks, Don

I gave a presentation at this week's conference in Boston. It was a something of a 20 minute version of the ICANN All Things WHOIS program, although with fewer topics and a focus on details that were most likely to be of interest to the anti abuse community. Four people raised the same suggestion either before the session or during Q/A: Require providers to assign unique IDs to their customers so that we can identify the p/p registrations held by a given entity even if we don't know who is it. We can explore the idea or not, but I am certain that it will be suggested in public comments to our draft report. FWIW, the suggesters (word?) aren't affiliated and were an international group. Don
