This award program, launched in June 2014 in London, seeks to recognize long-standing community members who have served in leadership roles in multiple ICANN working groups or committees, and demonstrated collaboration with different Supporting Organizationsand/or Advisory Committees. The Multistakeholder Ethos Award will recognize ICANN participants who have deeply invested in consensus-based solutions, acknowledging the importance of ICANN's multistakeholder model of Internet governance, and contributed in a substantive way to the higher interests of ICANN's organization and its community. The nomination period for community nominees opens today, 10 December 2015 and closes on12 March 2016. ANNOUCEMENT - FY 16 At-Large Captioning Pilot Project to start in JAN 2016!

Dear All, On behalf of Judith Hellerstein, At-Large Captioning Pilot Project group lead and NARALO's Secretary, we are pleased to announce that the FY 16 At-Large Captioning Pilot Project<https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+FY16+Special+Budget+Re…> will start in January 2016. The captioning will be provided by "Caption First Incorporated". As agreed to by the At-Large Captioning Pilot Project group, the implementation of this project will be structured as follows: * Three calls to include captioning each month for a total of 9 teleconferences, not exceeding 60 minutes per call (with the exception of the ALAC Monthly Meeting) * The calls shall be held between January - April 2016. * During the first pilot phase of this captioning project the language used will be English. * In order to select the calls the captioning team has developed a set of criteria to evaluate and rate the requests. The request for captioning must meet at least one of these criteria to be put on the list. Criteria for Captioning: 1) Are there persons with disabilities or with limited bandwidth participating? 2) Are there webinars of general interest to the ICANN community that would increase the engagement of non-native English speakers? 3) Are the meetings or discussions about accessible tools or software? If you would like to have a teleconference captioned during this pilot phase please submit your request to At-Large Staff<mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org> by January 15th. * The At-Large Captioning Pilot Project group, in collaboration with At-Large Staff, will select the calls that will have captioning based on the criteria noted above. * A short poll will be made at the end of each call where captioning is used to ask for feedback on the captioning program during that call. Dear All, ICANN is calling for community volunteers to participate in the Advisory Panel on gTLD Marketplace Health Index. This Advisory Panel will review the proposed KPIs in the preliminary proposal of gTLD Marketplace Health Index<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/gtld-marketplace-health-index-p…>, as well as the suggested potential updates in light of the public comment<https://www.icann.org/public-comments/gtld-marketplace-health-2015-11-17-en> on this preliminary proposal. The Advisory Panel will also be asked to assist ICANN in finalizing the list of KPIs and in setting proposed benchmarks for measuring the health of the global gTLD marketplace. As an FYI, the ALAC has responded to the public comment on the gTLD Marketplace Health Index Proposal and submitted a Statement: https://newatlarge.icann.org/advice_statements/9745. At-Large members interested in this topic are welcome to join the Advisory Panel. Dear All, The ALAC and RALO Members of the Finance and Budget Sub-Committee (FBSC) have now been identified. They have been noted on the FBSC Workspace (see: https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/ALAC+Subcommittee+on+Finance+an… ). Under the request of Alan Greenberg, Chair of the ALAC and ALAC Finance and Budget Sub-Committee (FBSC<https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/ALAC+Subcommittee+on+Finance+an…>), staff are now issuing a call for non-voting Participants. The tasks of the FBSC include but are not limited to: - Coordination of the annual additional Budget Requests from the ALAC and the RALOs that will be filed to go into the yearly ICANN budget - Drafting of any Statement regarding the ICANN Budget Process - Drafting of any Statement regarding the ICANN Strategic Process - Drafting of any Statement regarding ICANN's Operating plan - Issues involving Constituency Travel Budgets Participants will have all the rights of a Member of the FBSC unless a vote is called for. The work of the FBSC will work by consensus whenever possible. All current Participants should re-confirm your interest in remaining on the FBSC as a Participant by informing At-Large Staff by Wednesday, 16 December. If you are interested in becoming a new Participant, please inform At-Large staff by Wednesday, 16 December. A Doodle for the next FBSC call will be sent shortly.
