I saw that the FCC just released the NPRM on 6ghz <https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/FR-2018-12-17/pdf/2018-26013.pdf>, ( more <https://www.fcc.gov/document/fcc-proposes-more-spectrum-unlicensed-use-0>) and it seems the telcos are diving head and shoulders <https://www.cbrsalliance.org/why-ongo/> into CBRS. NASIG 2 in ICANN Montreal on Oct 31 and Nov 1- IG Proposal

We are submitting for ICANN ABR funding the Second NASIG event. The North American School of Internet Governance was a huge success in San Juan which was a three day event. The forthcoming event would be a two day event with a potential precursor event with Larry Stickland on community development. This event would be held prior to the ATLAS 3 and concluded with the North American IGF . Last NASIG was sponsored by ICANN and we hope this one will be as well. We are seriously on target with the fundraising and we look forward to repeat performance. Enclosed is the proposal in PDF Format After the community feedback our next step is to submit the proposal to Staff for consideration from the FBSC which is convening in late January. NARALO membership Please see the attached request made by Loris Taylor of Native Public Media for financial support for the North American Tribal Nations Fellowship. As you may recall we have been funded in the past on this concept and ICANN decided to make a global programme then they deleted any funding for additional budget requests last year. FY20 Operating Plan and Budget published for comments

Dear all, I kindly invite you to read the blog post by Göran Marby on the FY20 Operating plan ad budget that was just published and will be open for public comment for a period of 53 days, closing on February 8. https://www.icann.org/news/blog/draft-fy20-operating-plan-and-budget-now-av… <https://www.icann.org/news/blog/draft-fy20-operating-plan-and-budget-now-av…> Some highlights for our community are: - Funding has been forecasted at $140.1 million which represents a 2% increase from FY19 - Budget has been established at $137.1 million - Reserve fund replenishment has been budgeted at approximately $3 million - Constituency and fellowship travel support remains at the same level as FY19 for approximately 400 people - This is the last plan in the five strategic plan that ran from FY15 to FY20 so we are in a transition year that will lead us to the next strategic plan that will run from FY2021 to FY2025. The aim is to have the the FY20 Operating Plan and Budget finalized by march 2019 so it is very important that we contribute with comments to the project. I really encourage us all to review and comment on the Plan and Budget. Kind regards, León
