All, I have been called off on "day job" duty on both 3rd (Team Leads call) and 10th (Consultation Group call) . The 3rd should be OK because I think the day to day work track is in reasonable shape. I am more concerned about the 10th since we could usefully meet then. I can make the usual time slot (13h00 UTC) on both Monday 9th June and Wednesday 11th June. Please can you reply-all if you can make Mon 9th, Wed 11th or both @ 13h00 UTC and then we can decide whether or not a re-schedule is possible. Thanks, Jonathan

As we have agreed to share with our constituencies, ahead of London meeting, a briefing note describing our work progress and setting expectations for London, please find attached a proposed briefing prepared by Jonathan and myself .. We look forward to receiving your comments/suggestions .. Avri (as a fresh eye) and Mark (having been away for some time), It would be helpful if you can, of course in addition to any other comments you may have, if you can let us know whether the briefing is clear, provides the necessary information and helps in understanding the work of the group .. Best regards, Marika Action Items / Notes 27/5 meeting: * Role/job specification for liaison - Marika prepared first draft which is to be shared with Jonathan, Manal and Olof * All members encouraged to provide input on briefing note by Friday 30 May at the latest following which it will be shared with the GAC and GNSO on Monday 2 June * Provide input to the survey by Friday 30 May at the latest (see http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?PREVIEW_MODE=DO_NOT_USE_THIS_LINK_FOR_COL LECTION&sm=ezpA8R9gJ46f0o8Zpss1JqDqTwjJx7XstxMT5d73LSY%3d) - following that the link to the survey will be published as part of the briefing note Day-to-day work * In London, put forward recommendations re. liaison to the GAC and GNSO * Survey will provide further input to develop recommendations in relation to E * Option F could serve as a potential resource for the liaison and could be brought into specific discussions with the GAC * Update items A, E and F and use it as a resource / background document to show the conversations / discussions that led to the recommendations PDP work track * Clarify terminology steps vs. phases * Develop a short briefing note to describe first two phases and objectives - walk through by CG with the aim to develop preliminary recommendations/ideas for feedback/discussion in London London Meeting * Jonathan and Manal to develop first draft of presentation - others encouraged to provide feedback / input. Dear All, Please find below the notes from the GAC-GNSO Team Leads meeting today for your information. Best regards, Marika Notes 20/5 Meeting: * Team leads meetings to focus on planning and co-ordination and less on substance which is to be covered on the full CG meetings * Day-to-day work track for London: focus on options A, F and E and target to present those in London. * Staff to share first draft of survey for option E with team-leads for review * PDP track: consider presenting the chart in London and link with survey (i.e. obtaining information at an early stage - what more or less is needed?), aiming to complete phases 1 and 2 * Consider distributing briefing package on progress, incl. update on PDP track, day-to-day track and link to survey in preparation for London meeting. Jonathan and Manal to prepare first draft of briefing note for review which is to be shared with GNSO and GAC prior to London meeting (staff is also available to support if needed). * Target for next call: confirm objective for London and continue deliberations from previous meeting (comments on options A, F and E as well as phases 1 & 2 of PDP). Share survey for review / input. * Send reminder on Monday in week in between meetings to CG to encourage input which are then consolidated in the documents on the Monday prior to the meeting.

Dear All, Please find below the discussion points / action items from today's GAC- GNSO Consultation Group's meeting for your review. If you have any comments / questions, please share those by Friday at the latest. Best regards, Marika Discussion Points Action Items 13/5: * Additional GAC member(s) may not be confirmed until London * Members of GAC-GNSO CG will have until Friday to comment on the action items coming out of this meeting - following that these will be considered agreed. * Consider having information / update out prior to the meeting in London to allow for more focused discussion Day-to-day work track * Travel funding has been confirmed for the GNSO liaison to the GAC for FY15 from the ICANN meeting in LA onwards (as a pilot project) * Consider discussing options A and F together as these are closely linked, and possibly C * Also consider working on E (awareness and notification) - highlighting existing mechanisms and possibly survey GAC members on the usefuleness of those * Option F not considered inconsistent with A - could be considered a resource to A * Consider presenting options A-F in London, noting that the proposal is to move forward initially with options A in combination with F, as well as E (survey). * Role / job specification of liaison is a critical element of option A * Confirm proposed approach with workplan and adapt workplan as necessary * Option E - summarize current options, followed by a survey (in combination with discussion in London - also to encourage participation) * Staff to support development of online survey in combination with a briefing document PDP work track * Break down phases along the same way as this is done in the GNSO PDP graphics - update for next version * Consider starting review of PDP chronologically - first steps first and work way through the existing process * Important to engage GAC at an early stage incl. at the Issue Report stage * Need to understand current mechanisms and determine whether anything else should be done, either from the GNSO or GAC side to facilitate early engagement * Streamlining of communication into GAC will be important element * Early stages of PDP are marked in the PDP early awareness documents shared with the GAC * Focus on issue identification / reporting, early opportunities for engagement that currently exist for the short term * Consider commenting / responding on the documents on the mailing list and then integrate those into the documents (in a timely manner)
