Poll open - Deadline Monday 17 Dec at 12:00 UTC - Mentor for the ICANN Fellowship Program

Dear SSC members, The Expression of Interest process is now closed for the ICANN Fellowship Program GNSO mentor position. There were 5 responses. Please review the application materials at https://community.icann.org/x/RQLuBQ and then fill out the poll at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YTH3MB6. The deadline to fill out the poll is Monday 17 December at 12:00 UTC. The SSC will meet on Monday 17 Dec at 15:00 UTC to discuss poll results and complete the selection process. As a reminder, the SSC is expected to provide a recommendation to the GNSO Council prior to the 20 December Council meeting. As you know, SG/Cs are asked to reconfirm membership following the AGM each year. While most members from last year are continuing on in the coming year, there are a few changes: * NCSG: Sam Lafranco and Johan (Julf) Helsingius are replacing Renata Aquino Ribeiro and Rafik Dammak * RySG: Erica Varlese is replacing Maxim Alzoba (this was announced prior to the AGM) Welcome to the new members, and in Julf’s case, welcome back! In addition, I would like to share some details about the SSC’s next assignment. The GNSO has opened an Expression of Interest (https://gnso.icann.org/en/announcements/announcement-20nov18-en.htm) for a GNSO nominated mentor for the ICANN Fellowship Program. The EOI will close on 7 December. The GNSO Council has asked the SSC to recommend a candidate for this position in time for the Council’s meeting on 20 December.
