Clarity on CROP Trips per RALO

Dear Benedetta and Mary, Following the ALAC Sub Committee on Outreach and Engagement call, we seemed to have skipped discussing the CROP Travel lots. According to the revised budgets, CROP experience a new terms and conditions and also 50% budget cuts. We would like to inquire the following: How many trips are permitted per RALO? What type of trips since the new rules justify that CROP will be used for ICANN sponsored events as these are CROP Approved trips. As the RALOs are in the process of drafting there Regional Strategies, there is need for the Outreach and Engagement WG members to clearly understand the new changes such that these can be communicated directly to the members of the respective RALOs. CROP trips for RALO

Hi Mary and Benedetta As per the call yesterday. Myself and Judith asked direct questions on the number of CROP trips will be permitted per RALO, types of trips permitted and the guidelines of what is a ICANN sponsored event as it pertains to CROP approved trips. I am working on the NARALO Outreach strategy and I need clarification to complete the cornerstone of our efforts as to CROP A few things we brought up on the call includes the importance of the ARIN RIR relationship and their two meetings a year as important CROP trips. Hi All Our proposal At-Large Global Capacity Building at the 2018 IGF The proposal is for organizing an effective and coordinated At-Large activity during the 2018 IGF, which is a premier global event targeting global stakeholders in the Internet Ecosystem. The aim is an improved coordination of At-Large and other ICANN participants to promote and heighten brand awareness and knowledge of ICANN-ALAC-At-Large with a series of workshops by all five RALOs as well as outreach materials such as banners, posters, brochures and promotional items that help to raise general awareness but which also attract attention and invite people to ask questions about ICANN-ALAC-At-Large and their global and regional activities, as well as how they may get involved. This request is based on the extremely successful At-Large 2017 IGF outreach activities <https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+Outreach+activities+at…> partly supported by ICANN. As the number of reports <https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+at+the+2017+IGF+-+Repo…> show, through coordination and planning, the supported travelers met their goals in terms of raising awareness and understanding of At-Large and ICANN. The request is for *TWO ALAC and TWO RALO representatives *who will not only be actively involved with Outreach and Engagement among the IGF community within the Booth Compound, but will also be participants in ICANN and MAG-accepted IGF workshops/panels This request is part of a coordinated At-Large approach for the 2018 IGF, which include workshop requests from the 5 RALOs. *Financial Support:* Translation of Outreach Materials to different languages, including ES, FR, RU, ZH Travel support for two ALAC Members and two representatives of the Outreach & Engagement Subcommittee to cover the full IGF period including Day 0 (if scheduled).
