Calling for Volunteers for ATRT3!

Hello everyone! As you may know, ICANN needs additional applicants for the Call for Volunteers <https://www.icann.org/news/announcement-2017-04-20-en> of the third Accountability and Transparency Review (ATRT3). Despite promoting this Review and extending the deadline for applicants to June 2, ICANN has still only received 10 applicants. You can find the current list of applicants here <https://community.icann.org/display/atrt/Applications+Received>. ICANN Review Teams can consist of a maximum number of 21 members. To ensure that ATRT3 is comprised of a diverse and well-qualified team of community members, we are seeking additional applicants from the global community. The objective of this very important review is to assess ICANN's execution of its commitment to maintain and improve robust mechanisms for public input, accountability, and transparency and to ensure that the outcomes of its decision-making reflect the public interest and are accountable to the Internet community. SO/AC Accountability: GAC Input

Dear All I have been asked by the GAC leadership group to inform you that it will not be possible for a single agreed set of GAC comments to be submitted to the public comment process for the draft SO/AC Accountability recommendations by the deadline of 26 May 2017. This is due to workload pressures including an increasing number of competing priorities. The GAC will discuss the issue at its face to face meeting in Johannesburg with a view to providing feedback as soon as possible. Individual GAC members may still choose to make a submission by the deadline. The GAC Chair and Vice Chairs would appreciate any views you may have on how the GAC can help with future process for this specific issue, having regard to the discussion on timelines at today's CCWG-WS2 plenary call. Dear all, On behalf of the GNSO Chair and Council Vice-Chairs, I would like to inform you that on the meeting of the 18 May 2017, the GNSO Council voted to validate the request from the CCWG Accountability to carry forth the budget allocated to Work Stream 2 to all of FY18. Do note that as part of this validation, the GNSO Council expects to receive regular updates on actual expenditures as tracked against this adopted budget, as well as the status of WS2 activities.
