Dear All, Steve Sheng, ICANN Senior Technical Analyst within the Policy Department, will talk about the currently open public consultation on the Interim Report of the Internationalized Registration Data Working Group<http://icann.org/en/public-comment/#ird> in an At-Large community briefing call. In June 2009 the ICANN Board approved a resolution (2009.06.26.18: <http://www.icann.org/en/minutes/resolutions-26jun09.htm#6>) requesting that the GNSO and the SSAC, in consultation with staff, convene an Internationalized Registration Data Working Group (IRD-WG) comprised of individuals with knowledge, expertise, and experience in these areas to study the feasibility and suitability of introducing display specifications to deal with the internationalization of registration data. The working group has produced an interim report that discusses several potential models for internationalizing domain registration data, and is seeking feedback from the community about the models and on other key questions via a public consultation that is open until 14 March 2011. During this call, participants will be able to engage in a discussion of the Interim Report of the Internationalized Registration Data Working Group with Steve and At-Large representatives on the IRD-WG. An At-Large Workspace for the ICANN Strategic Plan 2012-2015 has been created to serve as a central point for information on the four strategic focus areas as identified by ICANN as well as the key issues that members of the At-Large community should address in their comments. Each RALO is requested to submit their comments on the 2012-2015 Strategic Plan on their specific Regional Strategic Planning Workspaces located on the main Workspace. During the 42nd ICANN Meeting in Dakar, a discussion on the development of metrics for the 2012-2015 Strategic Plan with Kurt Pritz, Vice President, Stakeholder Relations, and Carole Cornell, Senior Director, Project Office, will take place on Tuesday, 25 October between 16:00-16:30 in Room B1. Rule. 2.2 states that all officers are normally elected at an Annual General Meeting of ICANN. Rule 9.1 states that the election call will be sent by the current ALAC Chair. This stage having been undertaken, it is now time to discuss those nominations.
