Dear All, On behalf of Jonathan Zuck, Chair of the ALAC, this is to announce that the following candidates have been selected for the At-Large NextGen Mentor and NextGen Selection Committee Member: * NextGen Mentor (one-year term): * Roberto Gaetano * NextGen Selection Committee Member (two-year term): * Denise Hochbaum The selection process consisted of the members of the ALAC Appointee Selection Committee (AASC) reviewing and ranking 18 candidate Expression of Interest (EOI) documents for the position of NextGen Mentor and 4 candidate EOIs for the position of At-Large Selection Committee Member. The AASC sent the names of their selected candidates to the ALAC. The ALAC held a Consensus call ending on Wednesday, 30 October 2024. Congratulations to Roberto and Denise! Many thanks to all the candidates that applied for the positions of NextGen Mentor and NextGen Selection Committee Member. Dear All, Following up on the Call for Nominations for the ALAC Leadership Team (ALT) positions, as of the deadline of 20 October 2024 the nominations received were: • Africa – Bukola Oronti<https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/Bukola+Oronti+SOI> • Asia, Australia and Pacific Islands – Justine Chew<https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/Justine+Chew+SOI> • Europe - Natálie Terčová<https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/Natalie+Tercova+SOI> • Latin America and Caribbean Islands – Claire Craig<https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/Claire+Craig+SOI> As noted previously, Jonathan Zuck, ALAC Chair, automatically assumes the position of ALT Member from North America. All nominees accepted their nomination by 18 October 2024. We invite ALAC to help reach out to the RALOs and ALSes to organize regional and national UA Day events.
