During the webinar, members of the CCT Review Team will provide a briefing on the new sections, which contain draft findings and recommendations pertaining to Domain Name System abuse, costs to trademark holders, domain name parking, and consumer choice. Participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions directly to the Review Team. The CCT Review Team is examining the extent to which the introduction or expansion of generic top-level domains (gTLDs) has promoted competition, consumer trust, and consumer choice. The Review Team is also determining the effectiveness of the safeguards put in place to mitigate issues arising from the introduction of new gTLDs and the New gTLD Program's application and evaluation process. This meeting will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from 10–15 March 2018. These successful candidates represent many sectors of society, including; civil, government, country-code top-level domain (ccTLD) operations, academia, parts of the business community, technical, security, and end user groups. The Fellowship program seeks to create a broader and more diverse base of knowledgeable constituents with priority given to candidates currently living in underserved and underrepresented communities around the world, those who represent diversity of gender, sector, region, experience, expertise, and/or have established financial need. An independent selection committee assessed the 488 applications received for this meeting.
