Concurrently, the Working Group has begun developing draft final recommendations, taking into consideration the Working Group’s review of its summary documents. NEXT STEPS The Working Group plans to continue focused deliberations on unresolved questions for a subset of topics within the Working Group’s scope. Selected individuals will have a unique opportunity to work with accomplished colleagues from around the globe to help shape the Internet's technical coordination and policy development. Originally scheduled for Tuesday, 17 December 2019, drafts of the two plans will now be available beginning Friday, 20 December 2019. This date change may impact previously scheduled meetings intended for the Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees to begin their review. ICANN org is prepared to provide those groups with the table of contents of the documents and other information that may be helpful prior to the release of the complete drafts. NextGen Selection Committee members 2. NextGen mentors For the Selection Committee, a time commitment of approximately 20 hours over three weeks is required (for each application round). Selection Committee members will typically serve for two years (or six application rounds). Mentors are expected to devote approximately 24 hours to pre-ICANN Public Meeting preparation with their mentees, to offer advice, networking support, and regular check-ins on-site, and to complete evaluations following the ICANN Public Meeting. Based on previous estimates, mentors spend about two hours per week during the six-week preparation period in advance of the meeting and about two hours per day providing on-site support at the ICANN Public Meeting. To prepare for that exercise, ICANN org will be seeking community feedback on possible formats and arrangements which will be sent through each community group’s leadership. I wanted to let you all know that we have just released an update to our Domain Name Marketplace Indicators, which you can access via: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/metrics-gdd-2015-01-30-en We now have a total of 24 indicators profiled: 15 under the ‘Robust Competition’ category, 4 under the ‘Marketplace Stability’ category, and 5 under the ‘Trust’ category. This release also includes an update to our detailed indicator schema and taxonomy documents, which you can find at the same page. We are continuing to work with the team overseeing ICANN’s Open Data Platform initiative, with the goal to migrate our datasets over to the portal once launched, and facilitate access to further sub-level data in the future.
