I will not be able to attend the CCWT-ACCT Plenary on 28 February 2018. Please ensure that this message is either read into the record or otherwise considered during the deliberations on Diversity. I note that the Diversity Recommendations being considered do not include one to create an ICANN Office of Diversity (OoD). There was an extensive discussion on diversity and an OoD within the ALAC over the past weeks. CCWG-Acccountability-WS2-ICANN62 (Panama City June 2018) Travel Funding Applications Program - Monday 19 February to Monday 19 March 2018

All, As agreed at the 7 February 2018 plenary the CCWG-Accountability-WS2 will be offering its usual travel funding for the face to face meeting (Sunday 24 June) to be held immediately prior to the start of ICANN 62 Panama City on 25 June 2018. In summary this is the same travel funding process as for ICANN 61 and will run from Monday 19 February 00:01 UTC until Monday 19 March 23:59 UTC and is only for Members of the CCWG-Accountability-WS2 (see specifications below) and rapporteurs. Please find all relevant information below. Thank You. Bernard Turcotte ICANN Staff Support to the CCWG-Acccountability-WS2 ==================== All, ** The CCWG-Accountability has travel funding for some Members and Rapporteurs to attend the Face to Face meetings held the day prior to an ICANN meeting who do not have any other funding available to them to attend. Members are those individuals that are specifically appointed by the chartering SO/ACs to the CCWG-Accountability - the list of Members can be found at https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=59640780 . Rapporteurs are those listed as such on the CCWG-Accountability-WS2 Wiki for specific sub-groups located at https://community.icann.org/display/WEIA/WS2+SubGroup+Topics. Please see the attached policy for details regarding this funding. If you are not a Member or a Rapporteur, please do not apply as there is a very limited number of seats available. The next Face to Face meeting of the CCWG-accountability will be held on Sunday 24 June in conjunction with ICANN 62 in Panama City. . Those Members and Rapporteurs wishing to be considered for travel funding should fill out the attached form and submit it by Monday 19 March 2018 23:59 UTC to Acct-Staff(a)icann.org. The funding is for the Face- to- Face meeting, which can include airfare, hotel and a per-diem allocation for meals for attending the Face to Face meeting only (and not the full ICANN meeting). However, in analyzing the requests the Co-Chairs will consider requests for partial funding (such as only an additional day of hotel and per diem to attend the Face to Face meeting) in order to maximize participation. As such Members are encouraged to only apply for what they need to allow for funding as many Members and Rapporteurs as possible. The final decisions on travel funding will be made by the Co-Chairs and published on the CCWG-Accountability WS2 wiki at https://community.icann.org/display/WEIA/Travel+Support within 3 days of the application period closing (a confirmation of the posting will be sent to the CCWG email list). Those being supported will then be contacted by ICANN Travel using the standard ICANN travel funding process to arrange details. All, The Diversity sub-group completed its work on its recommendations today and the Co-rapporteurs, Fiona Asonga and Rafik Dammak, have approved the final diversity recommendations for publication to the plenary. Please find attached a clean version as well as a red line version of changes made to the version published for public comments. The Co-Chairs would like to thank everyone in the sub-group for their hard work and perseverance and especially Fiona and Rafik for their dedication to this work since 8 August 2016 when the first meeting of this group was held. The plenary will review this report for a first reading at its next scheduled meeting Wednesday 28 February 1900 UTC. CCWG-Accountability-WS2 - Update

All, Please note that the plenary scheduled for Wednesday 14 February 1300 UTC has been cancelled given the lack of topics to consider. Also, as instructed at the last plenary, staff have begun working on scheduling communications work (formatting, proofreading, illustrations) and language services (translation) for the final report. As part of this work the question of translation of the final report came up with respect to the public consultation. The Co-Chairs have considered this question and have come to the following conclusion - Since there have been no requests for this and that doing this could significantly and negatively impact our timeline to June 2018, the WS2 report for the public consultation, which will have the recommendations from all the sub-groups, will not be translated.
