Dear All, Please see below a note from Alan Greenberg, ALAC Chair, regarding available travel slots for ICANN 60. ** The ALAC has three travel slots available for the ICANN 60 meeting in Abu Dhabi, 28 October - 02 November 2017. The travel slots will be allocated to At-Large participants who are ACTIVELY involved in some ICANN policy activity, or those with a strong history of such involvement in the past and an interest to restart. Those include gNSO or ccNSO PDPs, CCWGs, ALAC support Working Groups and the At-Large Review (with a lesser emphasis on the latter) If you are interested in being considered for one of these travel slots, please write to staff(a)atlarge.icann.org<mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org> and provide the following information: 1. Full name, Citizenship, Country of residence 2. Your affiliation or connection with At-Large (ALS, Individual Member, RALO) 3. What ICANN Policy Activities (as above) you are involved with. Please be specific and detail what your involvement is (teleconferences, mailing list activity, etc.) 4. Certification that support to attend this meeting is not otherwise available. We have a very short time in which to finalize our traveler list, so replies are due no later than 23:59 UTC on Wednesday, 02 August 2017. There are two reports – the Community Feedback report and the By the Numbers report. These reports summarize our findings from ICANN's second Public Forum Meeting of the new meeting strategy<https://meetings.icann.org/en/future-meeting-strategy>. These reports are part of ICANN's commitment to transparency. By the Numbers Report highlights include: * 1,353 checked-in participants, with 498 listing their region as Africa * 33% of attendees participating for the first time * 236 sessions held, for a total of 423 hours * Top three sessions by attendance: * General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its Potential Impact: Looking for Practical Solutions * Cross-Community Discussion on Next-Generation gTLD Registration Directory Services (RDS) Policy Requirements * Who Sets ICANN's Priorities? * 39,729 schedule website page views * 8.2 terabytes of data as network traffic Our goal is to improve on the feedback and statistics we collect, and to look for trends by comparing meeting data over time. Dear All, The BigPulse vote of the ALAC on the motion below has concluded. To pass, in accordance with ALAC RoP 24.1, the motion must receive the support of at least 10 ALAC Members. Motion Whereas: - The ICANN Board has proposed a revision to the ICANN Fundamental Bylaws; - As prescribed by the ICANN Bylaws on the Empowered Community, the revision was discussed at a Community Forum held in Johannesburg on 26 June 2017 Therefore: The ALAC wishes to exercise its power as a Decisional Participant in the ICANN Empowered Community by supporting the Fundamental Bylaw revision creating the Board Accountability Mechanisms Committee.
