Dear All, Please see below the call for nominations for the positon of 2015 ALAC Liaison to the GNSO sent on behalf of Olivier Crépin-Leblond, Chair of the ALAC. ALAC LIAISON TO THE GNSO The ALAC Chair Olivier Crépin-Leblond, had requested that as per the ALAC RoP Section 18.2, the ALAC shall reconfirm the current incumbents in the positions of ALAC Liaison to the ccNSO, SSAC and .MOBI. All of the current liaisons in these positions have agreed to serve another term. There was also consensus on their reconfirmation. Therefore, the only Liaison position now open is for the GNSO. Nominations are now open for and individual to serve as the ALAC Liaison to the GNSO. Nominations may be made by any ALAC Member. Requirements for ALT members can be found in Section 7 of the ALAC Rules of Procedure (http://tinyurl.com/ALAC-RoP-2013-04) Nominations will close on Friday, 19 September 2014 at 23:59 UTC. Nominations need not be seconded, but it is an ALAC tradition that others may second the nomination as a show of agreement with the nomination. Nominations other than self-nominations must be accepted within seven days after the close of nominations. Acceptance should be sent to the alac(a)atlarge-lists.icann.org<mailto:alac@atlarge-lists.icann.org>. Nominees without access to that list should send their acceptance to staff(a)atlarge.icann.org<mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org>. Staff will forward all acceptances to ALAC-Announce(a)atlarge-lists.icann.rog<mailto:ALAC-Announce@atlarge-lists.icann.rog>. Following the close of the nominations period and the acceptance or rejection of all nominations, if there is only one candidate, that candidate will be declared to win by acclamation. This is a fantastic opportunity to prove that the system works. I know that Mr. McKercher has been recently reconfirmed as the 2015 ALAC .mobi liaison but it is my understanding that he can handle both positions . After all, the .mobi has not been that active. Murray can also bring a fresh look to this position. Dear All, Please see below the call for nominations for members of the 2015 ALAC Leadership Team (ALT) sent on behalf of Olivier Crépin-Leblond, Chair of the ALAC. =========================================== ALAC LEADERSHIP TEAM Now that it is decided that the incoming Chair will be from the North American Region, the ALAC Chair, Olivier Crépin-Leblond, has requested that a call for nominations be issued for the other four members of the ALAC Leadership team (ALT) from the four remaining regions: · Africa · Asia, Australasia and Pacific Islands · Europe · Latin America and Caribbean Islands Nominations are now open for individuals to serve as the two Vice-Chairs of the ALAC and the two non-titled ALT positions. Nominations may be made by any ALAC Member. Nominees need not be an ALAC Member at the time of the nominations, but must have an expectation of being an ALAC Member after the completion of the upcoming Los Angeles ICANN Meeting.
