Dear APRALO colleagues, I had placed on the agenda of the At-Large Consolidated Policy Working Group (CPWG) call last week of 25 Sept, the following AOB item: - For information, Amazon EU S.à r.l. has on 12 Sep 2019 submitted updates to 3 of its applications for TLDs from 2012 round; these application updates are subject to public comment for 30 days from 12 Sep 2019 i) *For the string dot Amazon in English "AMAZON" <https://gtldresult.icann.org/applicationstatus/applicationchangehistory/984>* : an addition to its application, as a result of a submitted PIC Specification ii) *For the string dot Amazon in Japanese "アマゾン" <https://gtldresult.icann.org/applicationstatus/applicationchangehistory/929>* : an addition to its application, as a result of a submitted PIC Specification iii) *For the string dot Amazon in Chinese "亚马逊" <https://gtldresult.icann.org/applicationstatus/applicationchangehistory/926>* : an addition to its application, as a result of a submitted PIC Specification I understand that CPWG will consider if a response needs to be provided by At-Large/ALAC in relation to item (i), i.e. an update by Amazon EU S.a.r.l to its application for dot.AMAZON in English. Please note that this is in respect of an addition to its existing application, as a result of a submitted Public Interest Commitment (PIC) Specification. *I wonder if any of our colleagues who read Japanese or Chinese/Mandarin might like to review items (ii) and (iii), respectively, and to provide any input for CPWG's consideration?* *The public comment process for all 3 items (i) to (iii) closes on 11 Oct 2019*, so if at all, we would want to get ahead of any concerns and address them (if any) well before then. ***** Separately, to those who are not actively involved in CPWG calls, just FYI, there is a repository of updates on the development of Subsequent Procedures for the New gTLD Program found at this link: *SubPro Updates workspace* <https://community.icann.org/x/6a_jBg> I consider this as part of APRALO's contribution to At-Large's policy work. APRALO Rules of Procedure Review- call for membership open until August 30

Dear APRALO members, On behalf of APRALO Leadership team, this is a call for membership to join the New APRALO Working group “ APRALO Rules of Procedure Review<https://community.icann.org/display/APRALO/APRALO+ROPs+Review+WG>”. The WG will consider the following aspects related to membership: 1. Examine the existing provisions in our Rules of Procedure, and suggest new provisions or modifications to existing provisions relating to the obligations and responsibilities of individual members. 2. Clearly stipulate the roles and responsibilities of the elected individual member representative and his/her relations vis-à-vis the APRALO Leadership Team. 3. Design a Code of Conduct document laying out expected standards of behavior and other related matters, which is intended to be shared with every newcomer to our community. If you would to join this Working Group, kindly forward your name to At-Large Staff (staff(a)atlarge.icann.org<mailto:staff@atlarge.icann.org>), including in the subject line “ request to join APRALO ROP WG” on or before Friday, 30 August 2019.
