<please distribute below to whomever you feel appropriate> Dear all, Internet pioneer Toru Takahashi passed away on December 20, 2022, at the age of 81. I feel really sad. A Farewell Meeting is planned by Jun Murai and Toru's friends to take place on June 15, during the InterOp Tokyo 2023, as Toru was the sole host of the first InterOp Tokyo in 1994. He was one of the most active members of the global Internet policy and governance activities from Asia Pacific in the 1990s and 2000s.
