Dear APRALO Community members, On behalf of the APRALO Leadership Team, we are pleased to inform you that as on 3 August 2024, the decision taken by the APRALO Electorate on the Motion for Adoption of APRALO Rules of Procedure 2024 ("APRALO ROP 2024") of 19 July 2024, is as follows: · Total Electorate: 70 votes · Supermajority needed to amend the ROP of 26 March 2014 (i.e. an affirmative vote of 3/5ths or 60 % of the Electorate): 42 votes · Total affirmative votes cast: 58 votes This means that a supermajority of the APRALO Electorate has voted to adopt the APRALO ROP 2024 of 3 May 2024 including the accompanying Adjunct Documents, effectively immediately. At-Large support staff will promptly take action to post the APRALO ROP 2024 on the APRALO website and relevant wiki space immediately after confirming with the APRALO Leadership Team on any administrative updates needed to the APRALO ROP 2024. On behalf of Justine Chew APRALO Register of Skills & Interests<https://community.icann.org/x/YALECQ> Project Lead Dear all, A reminder that the APRALO Register of Skills & Interests Pilot Cycle 1 is open for your participation until 13 September 2024, 23:59 UTC. The APRALO Register of Skills & Interests (RoSI) is intended to be a dynamic register to which APRALO Community members may wish to submit data on their skills, knowledge and interests specifically in areas within ICANN’s remit. Submission of data on experience or interest in advocating for a multistakeholder model in Internet Governance would also be welcomed. We are proceeding with this APRALO RoSI pilot while development of the ICANN Community Engagement System (CES) remains pending for the At-Large Community. This APRALO RoSI pilot implementation is expected to run over 2 cycles (Cycle1: Jul-mid Sep 2024, and Cycle 2: Oct-Nov 2024) to enable adjustments to be made in consideration of new input (eg. results of the APRALO Hot Topics Survey 2024). After each cycle, the pilot will be reviewed for continuous improvement and durability (as needed). The 2-cycle approach is also meant to facilitate the participation of new respondents over time, and to enable past respondents to update their previously submitted data (just for the pilot). PURPOSE & USE OF SUBMITTED DATA Data offered by respondents through the planned pilot implementation will not be published for public viewing. Instead the data will be processed and accessed exclusively by APRALO Leadership Team Members (and At-Large Staff) for the following purposes. In terms of Skills, to assess a respondent’s experience, aptitude and suitability for: · An invitation to join APRALO Work Team (or Small Teams) or APRALO Policy Forum Small Team to undertake a specific task; · Nomination to represent APRALO or participate in ICANN events, cross-community working groups, policy development work, pen-holding for statements, leading initiatives or events, review teams · Generally being a resource person for APRALO In terms of Interests, to gauge a respondent’s interest to build one’s capacity in APRALO’s identified priorities. In participating in Cycle 1 of the APRALO RoSI, you may choose to provide any amount of data above the minimum that we request of you, and you can change your provided data at any time up to 13 September 2024, 23:59 UTC. We would however encourage you to FULLY complete the form to provide the APRALO Leadership Team with sufficient data to be able to harness your skills and knowledge or identify initiatives which you could engage in, for the benefit of the APRALO Community.
