Dear All, Fellowship Applications are now invited for the *9th edition of India School on Internet Governance (**inSIG2024 <https://insig.in>) till 11 August 2024.* inSIG2024 will be a face-to-face edition hosted jointly by the inSIG consortium of Internet Society India Chapters of Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Trivandrum, and IIM Bangalore. The dates of inSIG 2024 is 1 to 3 October 2024 (Day 1-3) with Day 0 events on 30 September 2024. The venue will be Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B), Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, India. *Apologies for duplicates received due to cross-posting* Dear all, On behalf of the APRALO Leadership Team, I am pleased to announce the launch of the *APRALO Register of Skills & Interests Pilot*. The *APRALO Register of Skills & Interests (RoSI)* is intended to be a dynamic register to which APRALO Community members may wish to submit data on their skills, knowledge and interests specifically in areas within ICANN’s remit. Submission of data on experience or interest in advocating for a multistakeholder model in Internet Governance would also be welcomed. We are proceeding with this APRALO RoSI pilot while development of the ICANN Community Engagement System (CES) remains pending for the At-Large Community. This APRALO RoSI pilot implementation is *expected to run over 2 cycles* (Cycle1: Jul-mid Sep 2024, and Cycle 2: Oct-Nov 2024) to enable adjustments to be made in consideration of new input (eg. results of the APRALO Hot Topics Survey 2024). After each cycle, the pilot will be reviewed for continuous improvement and durability (as needed). The 2-cycle approach is also meant to facilitate the participation of new respondents over time, and to enable past respondents to update their previously submitted data (just for the pilot). *PURPOSE & USE OF SUBMITTED DATA* Data offered by respondents through the planned pilot implementation will not be published for public viewing. Instead the data will be processed and accessed exclusively by APRALO Leadership Team Members (and At-Large Staff) for the following purposes. In terms of *Skills*, to assess a respondent’s experience, aptitude and suitability for: - An invitation to join APRALO Work Team (or Small Teams) or APRALO Policy Forum Small Team to undertake a specific task; - Nomination to represent APRALO or participate in ICANN events, cross-community working groups, policy development work, pen-holding for statements, leading initiatives or events, review teams - Generally being a resource person for APRALO In terms of *Interests*, to gauge a respondent’s interest to build one’s capacity in APRALO’s identified priorities. In participating in Cycle 1 of the APRALO RoSI, you may choose to provide any amount of data above the minimum that we request of you, and you can change your provided data at any time *up to 13 September 2024, 23:59 UTC*. Background: As many of you may recall, at the General Assembly 2023 held in Istanbul in September 2023, it was discussed and agreed that the existing APRALO RoP of 2014 needed to be revised to meet more current requirements. The APRALO ROPs Review Working Group was subsequently reconstituted to complete the work on the same. On 2 February the final draft developed by the working group was shared with the community for input and following that input process, was forwarded to ICANN Legal for vetting. As per the existing RoP Section 23. Amendment of the Rules of Procedure, Subsection 23.1, approval of any modification of the APRALO Rules of Procedure requires a Supermajority vote of the APRALO. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN FOR THE MOTION TO ADOPT THE APRALO ROP 2024 Mover: Amrita Choudhury Seconder: Cherie Lagakali WHEREAS, 1. The APRALO had adopted its current APRALO Rules of Procedure (ROP) on 26 March 2014. 2. The APRALO had constituted an APRALO Rules of Procedure Working Group (APRALO ROPs Review WG) in 2019 for the purpose of reviewing and improving the existing APRALO ROP. 3. The At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) had ratified the ALS (At-Large Structure) Mobilization Working Party Report on 4 December 2020 and the Unaffiliated Individual Members (UIM) Mobilization Working Party Report on 25 March 2021. 4. In light of the ALAC's ratification of the 2 mentioned Working Party Reports, the APRALO ROPs Review WG concluded that a review of the existing APRALO ROP must include consideration of the recommendations of the 2 Working Party Reports. 5. Early work on reviewing and improving the existing APRALO ROP was discussed at the APRALO General Assembly 2023 held in Istanbul, Türkiye on 12-13 September 2023. 6. Following the APRALO General Assembly 2023, the APRALO ROPs Review WG was reconstituted in early October 2023. 7. The APRALO ROPs Review WG completed its substantial review and redrafting of the existing APRALO ROP in January 2024, and with the draft ROP of 31 January 2024 having undergone vetting by ICANN Legal, the APRALO ROPs Review WG Co-Chairs Cheryl Langdon-Orr and Justine Chew then completed a final check and generated the Final Draft APRALO ROP 2024 as at 3 May 2024 [drive.google.com]<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/drive.google.com/file/d/1L3AsU8stUXIKc4Y…> for adoption by APRALO.
