Hi Everyone, So far, I have confirmation from the following who will be attending in person (8): - Raj - Cheryl - Bilal - From ISOC HK: myself, Charles Mok and John Fung - From HKIF: Christopher To and Gary Soo Who will be joining via teleconference? (I think Nick mentioned that he will be) Others who can join via teleconference, please let us know as well. (Nick, please confirm the teleconference line to use) With regards to time, may I suggest to start at 9:30AM Hong Kong Time. I believe ICANN has the room booked for us for the whole day (Nick please confirm). Colleagues, I would like to know if there are any ALS' from our region submitting workshop proposals for IGF 2007? If your ALS is submitting (or would like to), I would like to hear from you. Perhaps APRALO should consider its (and in particular the region it operates in) involvement with the IGF process? The following clause(s) from our Operating Principles perhaps have some relevance: 3.1.2 to promote, understand and advocate for individual Internet users and to provide a forum for outreach, co-ordination and exchange of information and knowledge for persons who live in the Asia Pacific region as defined herein; 3.1.4 to bridge the digital divide and encourage users in developing countries to participate in APRALO. So, I think it is likely we could get some financial support for yourself and Raj to be physically here in Hong Kong. That should bring the participant for the meeting (physically) to about 11-13 persons already (Considering there are 2 ALSes in HK), plus 3-5 more joining via teleconference. So we should have a pretty good turnout. HK Meeting prospective attendees - please read and action

To all prospective attendees for HK Meeting, As Nick will be away from today, we thought it best that I shepherd through the meeting arrangements as time is limited. So far we have travel support requests from (excluding me): - Kuo-Wei (Taiwan) - Bilal (Jordan) - Nirmol (India) - Cheryl (Australia) ? - Karaitiana (NZ) Have I missed anyone? Could all who have requested travel support come back to me asap (off-list preferred on rajnesh(a)pacificit.org) on estimated return airfare (economy class) from your origin to HK to reach HK on July 24 and to leave July 26/27 (or night of 25 if you prefer and live close to HK). The sooner you can do this, the sooner we can make a decision. As a deadline I need these by Monday 16 July 0600 GMT. As you are all aware, we have limited funds and it will have to be a best fit for this meeting, so we need to maximise on those who can make it based on costs.
