For those who attended the "Better Online Presentations" webinar, Jonathan has agreed to host a follow up workshop to help those who are interested to use the virtual camera software that he demo'd at the end of the webinar. Virtual camera software allows you to mix video, powerpoints, images and text into your camera feed so that you can give a more sophisticated presentation and easily switch between your video and your slides. This workshop will give you the chance to try the software with Jonathan online to help you with any problems. Call to join the newly created APRALO Policy Forum

Dear APRALO colleagues, In late 2019, the APRALO Leadership Team proposed the initiation of an APRALO Policy Platform for 2020. After a period of input from RALO members, the Leadership Team took some time to consider how best to take this initiative forward given the priorities for the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) and At-Large Community, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. While cognizant of RALO members' challenges in facing the pandemic and the ever-present risk of Zoom call fatigue, we needed to find a convenient way to address the goal of *coordinating regional policy-related activities, including establishing input from an end users' perspective for various recipients* be it the ALAC, or the At-Large Consolidated Policy Working Group (CPWG), or other ICANN-related policy development processes (PDP) or fora. To make a start on meeting this goal, we are pleased to announce the creation of the *APRALO Policy Forum*. To begin with, this initiative will be facilitated using the new *APRALO Policy Forum work space* and *apralo-policy(a)icann.org <apralo-policy(a)icann.org> mailing list* which will be moderated by members of the Leadership Team and supported by At-Large staff. To join the Leadership Team and APRALO ATLAS III Ambassadors in building up this initiative, please email to staff(a)atlarge.icann.org your Expression of Interest to participate and to be subscribed to the new mailing list; and thereafter, ensure that your Statement of Interest (SOI) is up to date, as guided by Staff. Call for topics -ME Space at ICANN 69

Dear APRALO Community, The Middle East Space <https://icannwiki.org/ICANN_ME_SPACE> will organize a virtual session at ICANN 69 on Tuesday 20 October 2020. Since the Middle East region is in the cross regional between two RALOs, I would like to encourage APRALO members that belongs to any of the countries (*Afghanistan*, Algeria, *Bahrain*, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, *Iran*, *Iraq*, *Jordan*, *Kuwait*, *Lebanon*, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, *Oman*, *Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia,* Somalia, Sudan, *Syria*, *Turkey*, Tunisia, *United Arab Emirates, and Yemen*) -if interest-, to get engage in the ME Space activity for preparing a position statement to be discussed at ICANN 69. As per the timelines for the ME Space towards the virtual session at ICANN 69 included below, *this is a call for topics that you find preferable to be addressed for ICANN 69.* As you know, the objective of this space is to address hot topics under discussion in ICANN and provide a consensus position of the region thereupon to the ICANN Board and all other concerned parties. Today, we have the Draft Final Report of the new gTLD Subsequent Procedures PDP working group under public comments that will close unfortunately on 30 September, 20 days before our session. So we wouldn't be able to put our position agreed on during the session on the public comment platform. This report is of great importance especially regarding the community applications and the Applicant Support Program. Draft Final Report on the new gTLD Subsequent Procedures Policy Development Process: https://gnso.icann.org/sites/default/files/file/field-file-attach/draft-fin… Of course, there is also the Final Report of the Temporary Specification for gTLD Registration Data Phase 2 Expedited Policy Development Process that is now published. This is also a very important report to consider since it addresses the registrant data protection. We already know that there are minority statements from the SSAC, the GAC and the ALAC.
