Dear All, Please join the At-Large Intercultural Virtual Workshop part 2 on Tuesday 15 February 2022 at 19:00 UTC for 90 minutes (English, French and Spanish interpretation). The Art of Small Talk continues! As a follow up from the first workshop last November we will continue with this discussion during this second workshop on 15 February 2022 at 19:00 UTC. We will sum up the findings, for instance what topics one should avoid, or how to address a person. Community members will then share their stories of quirky situations which were based on language issues or cultural misperceptions. To follow, Melissa Peters Allgood from ICANN Staff will facilitate a jam board exercise to provide us with skills on how to master typical situations one can face at ICANN Public Meetings. Dear All, As a follow up to the ALAC Meeting discussion with Dr. Ajay Data, Chair of with the Universal Acceptance Stakeholder Group (UASG), during which a request was made for the ALAC to identify a liaison to the group, I am pleased to inform you that Satish Babu has accepted this role. The aim of the ALAC liaison role is to facilitate better coordination on UA with ALAC. UASG leadership has confirmed that they will meet regularly with the ALAC liaison to learn more about the ALAC’s plans for UA and discuss how UASG can help provide materials and other support. UASG leadership considers that a more regular communication through the liaison will help with the coordination and progress of UA. Satish will report on his activities with the UASG during the ALAC meetings and will represent the ALAC on UASG meetings and UASG-hosted public sessions. Kind regards, Maureen
