The EURALO Roundtable will focus on recent ICANN responses to the DSA package and welcome input from leading European academics, who had reported on Internet governance, the DNA package and intermediary liability to the European Comission. It will be a part of the EURALO DNS Abuse end user information campaign<https://community.icann.org/x/SwQNCQ>, giving the European end user community an opportunity to discuss DNS Abuse related European legislative developments in an attempt to identify and best represent European end user interests within ICANN policy development and capacity building processes. We will also explore opportunities to expand the end user network to work with local NGOs, governments, and academia to ensure a good representation of ICANN core values in European polices. Guest Speakers: * Tobias Mahler, University of Oslo, Tobias Mahler is a law professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo, where he is deputy director of the Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law (NRCCL). He specializes in information and communications technology law and is the legal research leader of the VIROS project (Vulnerability in the Robot Society). His research is highly interdisciplinary, primarily combining legal research with computer science. His research interests cover a broad range of legal issues arising in the context of (i) robots, particularly with artificial intelligence capabilities, (ii) Internet governance (especially the domain name system), as well as (iii) cybersecurity and privacy. This focus on legal issues is complemented with research on legal technology to facilitate novel approaches such as legal risk management and visual representations of legal reasoning. He holds a PhD from the University of Oslo, an LLM degree in legal informatics from the University of Hannover, and a German law degree (first state exam). He has practised law in Norway as a corporate lawyer in the automotive industry, primarily working with international commercial contracts. Prof. Mahler is the Director of the Master of Laws Programme in Information and Communication Technology Law at the University of Oslo. He teaches robot regulation, cybersecurity regulation, legal technology and artificial intelligence. Mahler has been a visiting fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and Criminal Law in Freiburg, Germany, and the Stanford Centre for Internet and Society. Call for APSIG Program Committee Members

Dear APSIG Community Members, We are in the process of expanding and re-constituting the Program Committee (PC) for APSIG 2021, for which we invite applications from interested Members. The following are the prerequisites for applicants: 1. Prior experience in organizing APSIG or programs of similar in nature. 2. Good knowledge of the APSIG community, target audience, and past editions. 3. Expertise in technical areas that APSIG will be deliberating on, such as AI Governance, Access, diversity, Cyber Security, Data Governance, Social Media Governance, etc. Expectations from PC members: - PC member duties include designing the theme and sessions of the annual APSIG meeting, locating speakers, designing the sessions, organizing the program, eliciting feedback after the event, and reviewing the effectiveness of the program to provide recommendations for the following years. - The PC shall report to the APSIG EC and community from time to time. - The term for a PC member is 2 years. - PC members are not entitled to travel support to attend APSIG but are encouraged to attend through other means. If you are interested, please write to us at *govind.gac(a)gmail.com* <govind.gac(a)gmail.com> by *10th* *September 2021*, enclosing (a) Statement of Interest (including their contributions to APSIG); and (b) their expertise and experience that qualifies them to be a member of the PC and (c) how they are part of APSIG community. Call for additional volunteers to help design the APRALO Hot Topics Survey 2021; call closes on 22 Sep

Hello all, As reported at the just concluded APRALO Sep 2021 meeting call, I am putting out this call for *additional* volunteers for the APRALO Hot Topics Survey 2021 project. Very briefly, the APRALO Hot Topics 2021 project is aimed ascertaining regional priorities through a bottom-up consultative process (using a survey). In line with similar surveys undertaken with RALO members in recent years, the 2021 survey will be used primarily to solicit input from RALO members for topics you believe is of importance to our region and which the RALO should consider embracing in its agenda in the next year or two. What we hope to do with the 2021 survey is to also gauge your input in light of ICANN's FY21-26 operating priorities as stated in its existing Strategic Plan. This project is a short-term one, and is expected to be completed by November 2021, if not earlier. Dear All, On behalf of the At-Large Capacity Building Working Group sub-team on webinars (CBWG-Webinars), we are announcing an experts survey to identify speakers for upcoming At-Large Capacity Building webinars. The CBWG-Webinars would like to have a diverse set of speakers to reflect the diversity we have within the community while examining topics from different perspectives. Given the current monthly schedule of webinars, there is no guarantee that all topics indicated in the document below will be covered within a short time frame. Topics that would be covered at any particular time depend on the need of the community in any specific time. Also, there is no guarantee that whoever indicates his/her interest to present would be asked to present. However, the CBWG-Webinars will try as much as possible to choose speakers based on their knowledge of the topic while making sure that speakers are from a diverse background. The CBWG-Webinars will make final decisions on speakers following a process of due diligence.
