Dear Speakers, Thanks you so much for presenting at the ALAC workshop on IDNs. All the participants were enjoying the interesting discussions. The information for this workshop is now on ALAC wiki "IDN Policy Formation" page. We are going to post all the ppt files online for the reference of those who was not at the workshop. It's unfortunate that it was not recorded in either sound recording or video. Special thanks to Jacqueline who kindly chaired the workshop and Nick who made all the logistics arrangement. We are heartily appreciative for the helps offered by Bart and Baher. Not being a Madame nor a chair, I can answer with no authority whatsoever! But I suggest we put it on the agenda for a BRIEF discussion at our next meeting (presumably teleconference) and decide to either go ahead and do it, or not do it, or to hold a formal vote. Beau, perhaps I missed something, but what I recall is your description of why he would make a good advisor, but I don't recall seeing a statement that he is interested in this. Can you confirm that he is (or tell me I missed a prior statement). Dear Members: Cheryl has asked me to pass along (since connectivity is very problematic) her view that we should postpone the teleconference by one week, so that we can ensure that the greatest participation of members can be assured (which is made complicated by so many of us being at Rio this week). In the interests of full disclosure, I did propose this course of action to her, having seen messages suggesting this course of action from ALAC members present here in Rio... This will also allow me to complete the work of posting the summary minutes and the action items - which is a sizable list with elements for many people beyond the ALAC thanks in no small part to the work of the Secretariats with various members of other ICANN departments.
