Dear Adugna and Henok, ICANN's At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) is pleased to inform you that (332) Internet Society Ethiopia Chapter (ISOC Ethiopia) has been certified as an At-Large Structure (ALS). The ALAC greatly appreciates your group's interest in involving individual users in APRALO and ICANN and looks forward to working with you and your colleagues. The ALAC is eager to promote a productive working relationship between your organization, other ALSes, and the ALAC (and ICANN in general), and your input on how we can make this a success would be greatly appreciated. It’s very important to keep the members of your organization informed (about significant news from ICANN and information on ICANN policy-development efforts) and engaged in activities of interest. Urgent Notice: ICANN Learning Platform Certificate Expiry

Hello, I urgently bring to your attention the ongoing issue with the ICANN Learning Platform (https://learn.icann.org/) where an expired certificate has led to the persistent NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID error for over a week. This situation has significant capacity-building endeavors, posing severe challenges not only for ourselves but also for mentees who were planning to utilize the platform for courses during the holiday season. I must also emphasize that this issue almost caused a critical setback for me. My inability to access the site nearly jeopardized my ICANN80 application process as I was unable to download the necessary certificate required for submission. Prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated Best regards, Stephen

Dear Friends, Please accept my apologies for not being able to attend today's call. I would like to mention that during UA DAY 2023 I started with some Middle east community members , The Middle East UA strategy subgroup <https://community.icann.org/display/MES/Middle+East+Universal+Acceptance+St…> the main goal of this subgroup are: 1. Develop some metrics to measure the evolution of UA implementation and engagement in the region=> Dashborad 2. Coordinate efforts with Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG) and others UA working group 3. Encouraging stakeholders from technology developers, service providers, and policy makers to consider UA implementation 4. Promoting readiness for Universal Acceptance (UA) I think that our African UA workgroup could adopt similar goals. Hope that this will be useful.
