I want to share some news with you.
The first is that *the LACRALO DNS Abuse WG participated in the activity that
organized by Internauta for Internet Day at the Austral University of
Mar Del Plata in the Argentine Republic* to which I was kindly invited
by its director *Sergio Salinas Porto* and the opportunity to speak about the
DNS abuse and its consequences for a non-university audience
technique.
The second is that: The LACRALO DNS Abuse WG has been invited by the
National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions
(ANUIES) and its ANUIES-TIC Committee and the National Autonomous University of
Mexico (UNAM) to participate as speakers at the *ANUIES-TIC UNAM Meeting
2025, which will be held from October 27 to 31, 2025.*
This prestigious Meeting has as its fundamental objective to promote the
exchange of knowledge and best practices in the use and
use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
in Higher Education Institutions.
The 2025 edition will revolve around the theme: *“Perspectives and challenges of
“HEIs towards 2030: A vision driven by ICT”*.
Our presentation will have two aspects: 1) Talk about *Abusive use
DNS: Attacks, Consequences, and Mitigation *(aimed at security professionals)
ICTs and students of related careers), and 2) our mission will be,
disseminate the activities of ICANN and LACRALO and get involved to continue
spreading the concept of "*One World, One Internet*" by all and for all
