This is really a trying time globally and the challenge that we have varies as well, for some of us lockdown means more work (our pay job, volunteer roles and home chores), while for others this period means more expenses (job cut/loss and home upkeep). All these challenges will impact upon productivity. Inview of this, atlarge is trying to crowdsouce for funds and hereby request our donation/support towards this, no amount of too small. The proceeds will be used to support atlarge volunteers whose continued participation could be highly threatened as a result of the pandemic, especially with regards to the growing connectivity cost. Having been part of ICANN, I was part of the 2016 NextGen programme and mentored new participants through the NextGen Ambassadors’ programme, as well as part of the selection committee. Also, I was an ICANN fellow under the AtLarge mentorship. Additionally, I have participated in several working groups including but not limited to the Rules of Procedure WG, Right Protection Mechanism WG and the AFRALO Newsletter WG. I have also been a pen holder for different policy comments on IANA transition and ICANN organizational reviews. Currently, I play an active role at the Africa IGF; I am part of the steering teams of the East Africa and Kenya IGFs. I also serve at the Secretariat and leadership roles of different membership and volunteering organizations such as KICTANet. I am equally involved in policy and stakeholder engagements in Kenya on a wide array of ICT subjects such as data protection, internet access, cybersecurity and digital inclusion. Pour la petite histoire, j'ai rejoint l'ICANN en 2013 et la famille AFRALO en 2014, j'ai contribué régulièrement au débat et j'ai également appris beaucoup, voici venu le temps de mettre ces expériences et ma stratégie au service de la communauté en briguant le poste de secrétariat d'AFRALO. J'ai une expérience de 5 ans dans le poste de secreatariat du IGF CHAD. Comme vous le savez déjà, je suis un membre actif d'AFRALO et de la communauté At-Large et le premier contact de mon ALS HOUSE OF AFRICA et actif dans d'autres Foras de l’Internet.Je participe à plusieurs groupes de travail. je suis Ingénieur en télécommunications et entrepreneur social.
