Dear Tijani, All, There is an interesting gap here, one that made some mischief in our LACRALO region during the last Seat 15 Board Member elections. This may be the cause of confusion on Jose and other RALO members. While the election is for ALAC to vote on the Board Member, it is the RALOs that must direct their elected ALAC representatives and leaders who they would wish to be elected. As with all other ALAC votes it is anticipated that there will be proper engagement with the RALO membership by each elected ALAC or leadership member to ensure that their vote coincides with the wishes and represents all the interests of the RALO. Estimados miembros de la comunidad At Large, Me parece excelente los comentarios previos a este proceso, al respecto solo quiero manifestar mi posicion sobre un requisito de actuacion (no formal) necesario de este representante, pues los formales los dispone los estatutos del Consejo de ICANN, el NomCom y los del At Large, tal lo manifestado por un prestigioso miembro de la Comunidad At Large. En este punto, es vital que aquellla persona que asuma el asiento 15, además de conocer los objetivos de creación y operacionales del ICANN, debe representar los intereses de los usuarios finales, de la forma mas fundamental posible. Menciono esto, pues los otros representantes del directorio representan los intereses de otros sectores, tal como corresponde a la logica de actores en este ecosistema. Queda claro que el principio de consenso que promueve ICANN no se afecta si cada uno representa verdaderamente y de forma coherente los intereses de quienes lo eligen, en este caso de los usuarios finales de internet. Dear Tijiani, Thanks for the clarification, my doubt came for ignorance some issues that happen before. If it is only for our seat 15, it is logical to include this specific background, but should not be take as mandatory. The lines: “*…member must be able to reflect the users' point of view and interests in the debate..." * *maybe has to be change for * *"member must to be able to understand **the users' point of view and interests..." * P erhaps for my poor Ingles I take "*reflect*" incorrectly , but sounds like it need some experience.
