Signing the MoUs

Dear African and European Colleagues: In order for me to prepare the signature texts for the signing ceremony on the Thursday, could those of you intending to sign send me the following information as you wish it to appear on the signature texts: Name of Organisation Name of Signer Position of Signer IF YOU ARE LEAVING BEFORE THURSDAY: If you are leaving before the signing ceremony and wish to sign the final text, I will prepare a signature page early so you can sign in advance. Signing Ceremony - European and African MoUs at Lisbon

Dear European and African ALS representatives: The signing ceremony for the two regions, as well as a recognition of the conclusion of the Asia Pacific region's MoU, will be held at approximately 1230 on Thursday as part of the main Public Forum of the ICANN Lisbon meeting. More details will be posted on the regional Wikis and also on the main ICANN meeting website at www.icann.org/meetings/lisbon. Suffice to say that the signing will include a formal ceremony, webcast and scribed live, interpreted into French, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese, which will be also be recorded and available afterwards. The ALS representatives who are signing the MoU will be invited onstage to sign, their name and ALS name announced, shake hands with Paul and Vint, and photos made available afterwards of each ALS rep as well as the regional group. Those ALS representatives not present to sign in Lisbon will be provided a mechanism to adhere to the MoU without a physical signature. Gala Dinner Tuesday Night in Lisbon

Travel Expenses Reimbursement / Changes to Flights

Dear European and African colleagues: There have been a few questions about reimbursement and expenses. Be advised that we will provide full details of how to reclaim reimburseable expenses as soon as the Lisbon meeting is concluded. The forms used to request reimbursement have been updated and some additional changes to make them easier to use for At-Large community members have just been made to them, so don't use old forms if you have them... New forms will be posted on the regional wikis and notice emailed as soon as they are posted. HOTEL CHARGES ICANN is paying your hotel charges for the nights of the 23rd to the 28th inclusive, unless other arrangements have been made (which is the case for a number of you where it saved a great deal on flights for you to travel a day or two later). ICANN will also directly pay for meals charged to your room - outside of the nights when ICANN is providing dinner as a part of the conference. Any mini-bar, telephone, or other incidental expenses are payable by you unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing (by email for example). These are also not reimburseable after the meeting is over. DEPARTURE DATES If you made arrangements to leave before the 29th at noon and wish to be present for the signing ceremony please send an email to travel-staff(a)atlarge-lists.icann.org and nadine.d(a)travelstoreusa.com and request a later flight. We cannot guarantee that ICANN will be able to afford to pay for these extensions but we will carefully consider these requests in an expeditious fashion.
