Resignating from ALAC

Dear colleagues, As some of you already know, I have decided to resign from my position as a Euralo-elected ALAC member. My main professional position has changed a lot of the past months. Unfortunately, I am no more able to commit as much time to the work of the ALAC than before. I think it is in the best interest of Euralo, ALAC and the Alt-Large community as a whole to identify a person who could take my seat at the ALAC. In this perspective, I would like to nominate Oliver Crépin-Leblond, who has demonstrated over the years that he has the ideal mix of skills needed for the job: outstanding technical background, excellent diplomatic skills and a genuine interest to understand new issues as they come up. I wish to wholeheartedly thank the European ALSes for their trust and support over the past years. Be assured I will continue to contribute to the process to the best of my ability. Dear All, ICANN has recently launched its Strategic Plan Development for 2011. Other than in previous years, the planning cycle is now starting earlier in the year to allow for increased collaboration with ICANN¹s stakeholder communities. As part of this effort, Kurt Pritz, Senior Vice President for Stakeholder Relations in ICANN, recently participated in the EURALO and LACRALO monthly calls and gave a presentation on ICANN¹s Strategic Plan Development outline. To ensure that the At-Large community uses its influence and promotes its ideas on the Strategic Plan from the beginning of the process, please review Kurt¹s presentation and submit your thoughts, comments and questions directly on the Strategic Plan workspace under: https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/ICANN+Strategic+Planning+Develop ment+2011+-+Community+Workspace Both the Powerpoint slides and an audio excerpt with Kurt¹s presentation this week is available on the wiki workspace.
